you make fun of his torture ?

What torture? They are at the beach, comrade.

you know what i mean. it's sickening

Cope.

Well, it's in really poor taste considering the subject matter.

Seethe.

Yeah, I have no issue being angry. It's completely natural.

Ok, so he made a bad taste joke. Just move on, dude.

Was just thinking about how these guys were nothin but filler. We don't even know if they ended up filling the pit with liquid nitrogen(which they didn't) that whole naked scene and fans thing was just bizarre because it didn't effect the story one bit

Wait is the firefighter Mr Hickey?

im starting to think actors are gay or something

that's a different show, bro

What would you do if you popped a huge boner while digging the tunnel and all your naked miner bros saw it?

some are and some are bi

It's not in bad taste, it's a fucking actor. Why are you people complaining about how these jokes could be offensive in this of all the other internet shitholes you could be squatting in?

Yes, he's got a bit of a tan though.

sorry to break it up with you user but you're on Yea Forums here so enjoy some god damn memes instead of contaminating the threads with your 3.6 R/h fee-fees

An actor who is playing a real person and events that actually happened. You are making fun of someone's death, plain and simple. I don't care.

Then stream your own suicide so we can make memes about you too.

>4channel

It's an anonymous image board, nobody is going to think you are virtuous just because you pretend to be sad here.

where the fuck do you think you are?

So when the does the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. part start? Next season right?

based and iodinepilled.

Yeah, there's a timeskip and it opens with the first blowout that creates the Zone we see in the game. Then there's a montage with footage that's supposed to look like stock footage of the factions of the game to serve as exposition and situate the viewer in the world, then after the opening we get the corpse truck crashing sequence.

Based

it's confirmed if a meteorite crashes into the CNPP during finale

>inb4 the whole series is an advertisement for STALKER 2

What a humongous faggot.

Hey comrades, I found some strange black mineral on the ground outside the reactor. Any ideas what it might be? The library's mineralogy book says graphite.

Attached: power-reactors-operating.png (1080x898, 672K)

Impossible comrade, what you found was mere burnt concrete. Nothing more.

>the west coast
fucking hippies goddamn, suck some more oil dick you dumbfucks

No comrade, I work in the Pripyat road and highway department and I can tell you that wasn't concrete. And there was this weird glow in the air. What was that?

delusional

i heard they were shining some flood lights on the fire, nothing to worry about

Just woke up, time to shitpost about Chernobyl all day again!

Look at the size of him. So this is the power of Soviet socialism........

The firefighters wife was so friggin dumb I was getting tilted watching last episode

i didn't know carl from aqua teen was in this

>live 6 miles away from nuclear power plant
>9/11 happened
>start getting iodine pills in mail with packets telling us where to run to in the event of emergency
>police asking citizens if they've seen anyone taking pictures of the powerplant or nuclear submarine base nearby

That was a pretty intense time

They didn't know anything about radiation sickness. Can't really blame her taking risks when the people telling her not to were doing similar things.

Comrades i need more reactor waifu pics

Jesus Christ, that sounds horrifying, like something out of the Cold War.

Son of a bitch.

If you saw a mf'er turn into a fucking zombie within a week why would you be all over him? Dumb as shit

Don't kinkshame.

It would be extremely painful.

dumb nigger who never felt any affection spotted

can someone explain why she wasn't allowed to touch him? I'm assuming they washed the guy's body and hair so there are no radioactive particles on his body. Does he have radioactive isotopes inside his body, like his lungs? What kind of radiation are they giving off?

it is filler but it fits well with the narrative of the upstanding common man doing the right thing solely because someone has to because someone else fucked up and isn't even there to fix it

Motherfucker was infused with radiation at that point. He was (and still is?) going to give off radiation for a very very long time.

you fucking bastard...

Ah yes fellow redd-I mean comrades- thank you for this latest General.

Has anyone ever heard of Radiation or this Japanese person who died from it called Ouchi? Not great not terrible amirite fellow patricians?

He's likely got too much caked onto his body to fully decontaminate, so he'd be emitting each type of ionizing radiation. Gamma rays are the main killers.

Oh, also it would definitely be all up in his lungs, but you can't get contaminated from touching a person who is only internally contaminated.

Here's a joke my great grandfather used to tell in the 50s
>What's the difference between Stalin and makeup?
>Makeup is a face mask, Stalin's face looks like an ass
He went to prison for 10 years

both

He's been exposed to feedwater. Mild radiation nothing to worry about.

He simply believes he's received too much radiation. His denial wasn't strong enough so he's breaking down unlike comrade dyatlov

The fire is out! It's out, Valera!

Attached: the fire is out.png (1920x1080, 2.45M)

did the "90 seconds" really changed anything for the liquidators or was it just told to them so that they think as long as they dont stay more than that they ok ?

>insulting Stalin in the 50s
>imprisoned 10 years
unless he was going out in the streets screaming it, then i doubt he was arrested. people being locked up for muh jokes is asburd, especially since he would have been released pretty quickly during destalinisation if that's the only reason he got imprisoned.

that guy was a fucking genius
I am trying to be an engineer since forever and I cant't because i'm a brainlet, he was a sr at 25.
A fucking senior in a nuclear power plant that had a horrible death...
fuck

Akimov... his face was gone...

Attached: profiles-in-history-memorabilia-auction-preview-california-america-shutterstock-editorial-5185354ac. (1000x1500, 225K)

Stay any longer and you get acute radiation poisoning.

How I fucking hate them for the scene where Homlyuk talks to Akimov and they build up the dread and disgust and then don't show it.

I don't whether to hate the show or love it for such engagement.

Can you fuck off? Loser

I'll take my family history over your armchair theories about communism in the eastern block, when it comes to historical accuracy

my dad got jailed one night for singing an anti commie song in the 80s, my grandpa had to write a statement he was drunk and out of his mind

reminder that this used to be "Yea Forums"

What if they stayed 91 seconds?

he was drunk, right?

Post yfw "We're going to have a baby."

yes, he drinks a bit

90seconds was a save mark, 91 seconds would be any different

a cute radiation kiss them

I thought the point of him saying that was to show that the staff of that reactor was lacking in competent workers, since they're hiring 20 year olds for that position

Pizza man mode

They were launching purges as late as 1953, it’s not inconceivable.

it's that wig

Can't identify with normies. so pic related

Attached: 1549984376442.jpg (250x243, 20K)

I think the fact that they didn't show it after showing the face of that firefighter adds to the horror of the scene

is the baby gonna be ok guys?
pls tell me its gonna be ok

Attached: 2019-05-23-165103_948x629_scrot.png (948x629, 568K)

So, like, why didn't they just shoot the guys clearly dying of radiation poisoning and save them the pain and themselves the time and resources taking care of them, as well as keeping anyone else from getting sick because they took care of them? They knew there was no way to save them. I thought the russkies were all about that kind of shit?

The day my skin starts to melt with no way to stop it you have my permission to shoot me, comrades.

Attached: Aragorn.jpg (306x303, 49K)

Some people have recovered from radiation sickness. Also euthanasia was illegal in the soviet state at that point

Illegal to kill someone, comrade.

why are they equipped with Mosin instead of AK's ?

Attached: mosin.png (1428x722, 713K)

honestly the entire scene was hard to watch. how does this kino have so much more weight to it than any try hard "scary movie"? it is the realism or the thought that it actually happened? i can't put my finger on it.

Attached: 1400519017151.png (321x339, 10K)

Maybe they are reservists.

>how does this kino have so much more weight to it than any try hard "scary movie"?
because it was real

Attached: Screenshot_2019-05-22 IMDb Top Rated TV Shows.png (662x647, 96K)

Did people in the USSR really call each other comrade?

I don't think it will Comrade

Attached: baby.jpg (600x741, 84K)

>Some people have recovered from radiation sickness
After their skin has started sloughing off? I doubt it.

because they're reserve troops and they don't need AKs to shoot dogs
They have fuckloads of the things sitting around

maybe, but still, he was really smart guy:

>A graduate of the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute—the esteemed Soviet counterpart to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology—Toptunov was just 25 years old when he took the controls of Reactor No. 4 on the night of the accident. Well-trained, independent-minded and something of a ladies’ man, the mustachioed Toptunov—Lenya to his friends—had written his graduate thesis on fine points of reactor physics and knew that under certain circumstances the equipment under his control could be capricious and difficult to master. But he had also been a senior reactor operator for just two months and had never before piloted the reactor through the difficult shutdown process before. He was unaware of the numerous design faults that made accidents not merely possible, but likely, during the normal course of operation.

and a ladies' man... now I feel worst for him

>Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones on the same list as Band of Brothers

Attached: mpv-shot0003.jpg (1280x640, 84K)

Competent acting, good soundtrack and good shot composition. You can do a lot with a scene by just having the camera in the right spot and kinobyl nails it

The families of the sick wouldn't let this happen.

hey there pizza face

Attached: pizzaface.png (500x375, 198K)

Seismic zone = no plant.

The Wire's last season was a downgrade tbqh, I think breaking bad deserves it's spot

>By the mid-1920s, the form of address "Comrade" became so commonplace in the Soviet Union that it was used indiscriminately in essentially the same way as terms like "Mister" and "Sir" are employed in English. That use persisted until the fall of the Soviet Union. Still, the original meaning partly re-surfaced in some contexts: criminals and suspects were only addressed as "Citizens" and not as "Comrades", and expressly refusing to address someone as "Comrade" would generally be perceived as a hostile act or, in Stalinist times, even as an accusation of being "Anti-Soviet".

cheap surplus is my guess.
yes, either as a formality or in the same way we call each other man, dude, or bro.

don't worry, user, vodka means tiny water

Hahaha desperate hentai watchers think they gonna find a bitch that will "love" them. Hey dumbfucks, woman only love children, as soon as they cant leech any more from you they will be on to the next alpha cock

Do you really need an automatic rifle to shoot dogs?

CUMMED

Since when did the commies in charge stop to care about what the family of a man might think?

Why didn't the Soviets build containment buildings for their reactors? was it a revolutionary idea at the time?

Beard deception, he looks very different shaved

i know that during the french revolution , Frenchs took the habit of calling each other "Citizen" so my guess is that it ended up becoming an habit too

If I'm still pro-nuclear energy after watching this show am I bad person?

Attached: 1545281406433.png (1440x1440, 123K)

Depends on the dose. Dyatlov survived to go to trial and then labor camp for 5 years. Died 9 years after Chernobyl.

It's like the scene in The Wizard of Oz, except the witch gets a bucket of feedwater thrown on her.

Communists weren't monsters.

Aren't reactors a lot safer now?

Nope, but we should be aware of the risk and dangerous also decommission costs

No? Its not like you're purposely going around blowing up reactors

Americans would.

I like how the French and Scots call it something like "the water of life".

WHY COULDN'T THEY MAKE IT IN RUSSIAN (ENGLISH SUBS) OR GIVE THEM RUSSIAN ACCENTS? FUCKING BRITCUNTS RUIN EVERYTHING

it is relative safe and cheap

He was raped by Core-Chan and covered by her cum.

>(X) Doubt

Attached: wdytwa.jpg (474x474, 32K)

Any energy source will have drawbacks and the drawbacks we see in Chernobyl are the fault of ignorance and incompetence on multiple levels.
Look at whats happening in Michigan with fracking or the pollution from "clean" coal. Using wind and solar and geothermal are all important tools we should be utilizing more but nuclear is not a bad source of energy. Just needs competent people to build and maintain them.

guaranteed replies

We're both retarded, user. I knew I recognised him.

because the actors speak english, they can act more naturally
forced accents or mangling the language are retarded

Because if it's the first, no one in America and if it's the second, it becomes a parody unto itself.

>Hey let's find enough Russian actors to make a show about a controversial topic
Obviously there wouldn't be enough people who'd be willing to act in something that might get them backlash at home

Keep your mind on your labor, comrade user.

because its a dramatized western series, there's nothing stopping eastern euros from doing it properly themselves

No, the director himself is pro-nuclear. The whole show is a critique of Soviet Russia and a warning about what bad management can do.

They're safer but still capable of fucking shit up

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_Daiichi_nuclear_disaster

Cheaper and faster to not do it. They also assumed that people wouldn't fuck it up as badly as they did

I have watched many movies involving fire, but I still am pro-barbecue

What kind of radiation was Vasili emitting?

You sound like the girls on tumblr who get offended by historical show humor and complain while making drawings of straight dead men dicking each other in the butt.

>Acting like fukashima is a big deal

Because of human bullshit, not any inherent design flaws. There should be some government agency that has a bit of authority to keep watch on these fuckers and bring the hammer down before shit gets out of hand.

i mean what would he have done differently outside of just having everyone who fucked up being shot instead of in jail ?

Alpha, Beta and Gamma. The last one goes through everything but lead, concrete and water.

Why? All the death and destruction as a result of every single nuclear disaster in mankind pale in comparison to the permanent damage done to our planet and countless deaths over several generations thanks to coal energy.

Nah they're also well known for starving to death and being invaded

Amount of medals directly corresponds to how bad of a general you are.

Underappreciated kino.

>There should be some government agency that has a bit of authority to keep watch on these fuckers and bring the hammer down before shit gets out of hand.
dude there's shitloads of them

I agree lad but it destroyed the nuclear industry (in Japan at least)
"By March 2012, one year after the disaster, all but two of Japan's nuclear reactors had been shut down; some had been damaged by the quake and tsunami. Authority to restart the others after scheduled maintenance throughout the year was given to local governments, who in all cases decided against"

3.6 keks

>Using wind and solar and geothermal are all important tools we should be utilizing more
Just the other day I saw a video on youtube showing a wind turbine breaking down during high winds and destroying itself. The comments were filled with people basically saying "look how unsafe it is! Look at how much money was lost! We're better off using nuclear!", with almost all of the comments talking about nuclear power. Either Big Nuclear pay people to shill in youtube comments or people really are stupid.

But Zoukhov was a good general

It's spirits at the end of it all. French use it for white spirits like mirabelle plum liquor. They call it "eau de vie de mirabelle". We call it țuică or pălincă.

Wind turbines are shit for energy and when they decide to explode for the tiny bit of power you get out of them it's really not worth it

Now this my friends is what we call bait

>The japs are just pussies they've always had a thing about radiation
kind of stupid considering how logical and pragmatic they typically are. i guess dropping two nukes irreversibly neutered the entire nation into suicidal neets fapping to cartoons.

We are make of stars yet radiation kills us

>half a million dead
fucking china
i'm suprised we haven't seen any huge accidents from china

>I don't know what I should talk about—about death or about love? Or are they the same? Which one should I talk about? We were newlyweds. We still walked around holding hands, even if we were just going to the store. I would say to him, "I love you." But I didn't know then how much. I had no idea . . . We lived in the dormitory of the fire station where he worked. On the second floor. There were three other young couples, we all shared a kitchen. On the first floor they kept the trucks. The red fire trucks. That was his job. I always knew what was happening—where he was, how he was. One night I heard a noise. I looked out the window. He saw me. "Close the window and go back to sleep. There's a fire at the reactor. I'll be back soon." I didn't see the explosion itself. Just the flames. Everything was radiant. The whole sky. A tall flame. And smoke. The heat was awful. And he's still not back.
>The smoke was from the burning bitumen, which had covered the roof. He said later it was like walking on tar. They tried to beat down the flames. They kicked at the burning graphite with their feet. . . . They weren't wearing their canvas gear. They went off just as they were, in their shirt sleeves. No one told them. They had been called for a fire, that was it.

How's the radiation level on Hiroshima and Nagasaki nowadays?

When is the next episode bros?

I don't get it.

>zerg rush
>good general

Choose one.

>die quickly
I've yet to see anyone dying quickly from it. I'd rather shoot myself, to be honest.

Fukushima wasn't human error (besides putting the reactor on the fucking beach) or a technology failure.

The safety technology did every thing exactly like it was suppose to.
When the earthquake hit, the reactors automatically started shutting down... then the fucking god damn giant wave arrived and flooded all the buildings in the complex taking out the generator for the cooling system.
Even then the tech worked because the back up generator came on line however it only could work for 9 hours and with the massive flooding and destruction it was nearly impossible to get replacement parts or generator fuel to the complex.

>i'm suprised we haven't seen any huge accidents from china
pretty good point. maybe they have enough sense to keep a close eye on reactors, and keep the right people in position to build/service/run/maintain them. because looking at a typical day-in-china video on the internet and seeing the build quality of a lot of their structures it makes me a bit uneasy thinking they're operating reactors.

Thats what I did in fallout new vegas, those fireman helmets looked cool.
Gotta be kinda crazy to do actually do that, its not like the radiation would quickly stop.

Not great but not terrible either

There have been a bunch but they're kept under wraps. Look up the Wenzhou train accident. Two 400 km per hour trains slammed into eachother.
>The two trains derailed each other, and four cars fell off the viaduct.[3] 40 people were killed,[2] at least 192 were injured, 12 of which were severe injuries.[4] Officials responded to the accident by hastily concluding rescue operations and ordering the burial of the derailed cars. These actions elicited strong criticism from Chinese media and online communities. In response, the government issued directives to restrict media coverage, which was met with limited compliance, even on state-owned networks.

>How's the radiation level on Hiroshima and Nagasaki nowadays?
no more than typical background radiation

Tovarisch lmao

It's not great but not terrible either

You know you can literally turn your phone into a geiger counter?

i should've clarified radiation related accidents.

About 4 x-rays worth

Mondays 9PM EST

That's some good casting.

I'm fucking dying.
It's over for me.

it all would have never happened if the generators we're at a higher elevation in the plant. they were at the bottom and got flooded. they had large sea walls to protect from tsunamis as well but it was an oversight of what would happen IF a tsunami went over the seawall. i guess maybe the engineers originally thought "well if it gets that high we're all fucked anyway".

exert yourself by having sex

I got exams on Mondays. Can somebody call HBO and tell them to air it this Friday?

>putting a nuclear reactor right next to an earthquake/tsunami prone region with a 3m high sea wall for protection.

You cannot possibly top that as far as human fucking error is concerned

No. You’re just smart and nukepilled

I have exams on Monday as well, good luck user

Did the head of HBO make some sort of bet where they must show dick in every single show? Can we at least get some vag too without a merkin blocking it?

China is like living in fucking final destination. I've seen them fall into escalator gears and get meat grinded and go through the doors of elevators right down the shaft and no one seems to give a fuck when someone is eviscerated right in front of them

That's disappointing.

That's why the chariman and two vice presidents from TEPCO got indicted.
>In 2016 three former TEPCO executives, chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata and two vice presidents, were indicted for negligence resulting in death and injury.[225][375] In June 2017 the first hearing took place, in which the three pleaded not guilty to professional negligence resulting in death and injury.[376]
>The panel's report faulted an inadequate legal system for nuclear crisis management, a crisis-command disarray caused by the government and TEPCO, and possible excess meddling on the part of the Prime Minister's office in the crisis' early stage.[385] The panel concluded that a culture of complacency about nuclear safety and poor crisis management led to the nuclear disaster.[380]

You wouldn't if you grew up in a former Eastern Bloc. It's fucking ugly.

comrades

Yes and for their camwhores

Me too, comrade. Western propaganda spread misinformation about Soviet Russia reflecting her day-to-day as being hell. Fuck US imperialists.

I've had recurring urges to do that for a decade. It always boils down to either they're old army surplus and useless, cheap and useless or the cost of a cheap car.

I lived there for a while. It's not as bad as it seems. It's a fuckhuge place and most people don't give a fuck about others they don't know. They also joke that it's getting crowded. But if you get in their little circle of friends/family, they treat you better than your own family. China recently enacted laws making doctors immune to prosecution if they help someone on the street. If you try to help, you may get blamed and sued.

t. Glow in the dark KGB nigger

eh its just a small ad for the show's podcast and small cuts from interviews

Wind is the renewable pushed the hardest because the maintenance contracts are extremely valuable, not because It's the best. Political movements post 2010 are corporate-driven with virtually no exceptions.

Why couldn't he motivated himself to live 6 years later?

Civilized countries have things like the State Office for Nuclear Safety, which oversees everything nuclear in the country and everybody has to go though it if they want something approved.

That's why the US also has a bunch of minor fuckups like tritium leaking into the groundwater in Vermont or the Indian Point plant leaking tritium and strontium fromm 1974 to 2005.
