fmj is undoubtedly kyoubricks poorest/most derivative film so w/e
>every mexican standoff in film is a ripoff
>what is an homage
if you ever start reading and watching older, less well-known stuff you'll realize that every great artist rips others off, it's not just a mushy platitude
Hold the fuck on. You're saying military movies from the same period show some of the same things?
No fucking way.
>shows 3 to 4 scenes
>p-pure coincidences
>this fucking poster appears like clock work.
nobody cares.
i only liked FMJ from that hack anyway and mostly for the first half
This actually hurts me with how fucking stupid it is
QT said he was influenced by it, faggot.
this is a ripoff
Rian is such a try hard faggot
but Tarantino literally said he was referencing it, even the name of his company is a reference to something. He constantly makes references to other movies.
No way! Theres two movies where a man chops through a door with an axe!?!?!
I watched this show last week and thought the same thing but I didn't make a meme thread about it because everyone would call me a faggot
Both of them being about recruit training, they're obviously going to have similarities since recruit training is the same. Get your head shaved, run in formation, get yelled at and sparring.
Officer and a Gentleman has some similar scenes, too.
wtf you men kubrick didn't invent military boot camps? Next you will tell me Viet Nam war was a true story.
"""""""""""""references""""""""""""""" aka direct, shot-for-shot ripoffs that he knows full well that 95% of his target audience has never seen or will see, therefore attributing that shit to him
>(((homage)))
>stealing
wtf they made vietname a real thing ;D;D;D
hey i'll still call you a faggot
Kubrick didn't invent boot camp and neither did the other guy, dipshit.
>ddduuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr why are things that happen in basic training in two different movies that focus on basic training
Listen to how retarded you sound
It's a hat tip bro!
Wait so you mean there are two films that take place during vietnam era marines bootcamp and that both films have similar looking period setting and attire?!?!?!?!
Tarantino steals. Its his thing
why does OP's picture not even include how Lee Harvey plays the sergeant in both?
>he wore a hat!
now this is theft
what's the animu?
The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
uh lee harvey was famous for whacking JFK
i think he was dead by then
Thanks
Kek
glad to help
This is all taken out of context. There are some similarities, but the story is just so different.
Happy Feet is more of a rip off than The Lion King.
The entire story is about Kimba going to humans to save his people
kek
Is that tyler?????
Nice, anyway who cares if it's not an original idea? Does it devalue the work of the artist? We are all exposed to imagery on a daily basis that subconsciously affects us and our decision making.
Every artist was influenced by artists before them and so on. Noone has a true original idea because we transfer ideas to eachother as humans.
>2 movies show stereotypical moments of joining the Marine Corps
This is one of the stupidest threads I've ever seen
>Movie about Marine Corps shows basics of Marine Corps training
>Other movie about Marine Corps shows basics of Marine Corps training
>"Deht one musht be wripping otha one off!"
Kill yourself
Yeah
The Chucky film where the kid joins the army hast the same scenes
This is one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen
>27B/6
really?
He is compelled to make this thread every month or so, you'll get used to it newfag
dumb zoomer
Fucking Dubya you hack.
There’s not a lot to show in Boot camp
Nobody thought Kubrick invented the army, dummy
huh this reminds me of something
bravo nolan
>He is compelled to make this thread every month or so
And it's just as autistic every month
Happened in Stephen King's The Running Man too.
a sophisticated word for ripoff
everything after nice was a literal coping mechanic
The crow is kino I'll give you that. RIP bruce Lee's son
No you're right. The story is literally just Hamlet. Fuck the mouse and fuck the lion king
the main characters even die irl. total plagiarism
I'm not disagreeing that a lot of media is heavily inspired by the things that influenced those creators, that much is obvious. I'm just stating that putting importance on such similarities is pointless as all human ideas are derivative. Original new thoughts don't happen very often.
>Disney gimmick was literally ripoffing popular stories
>no complain
>one anime gets ripoffedd
>HURRR SACRILEGE! THE MOUSE MUST BORN
why are weebs so obnoxious
mouse shill GTFO
It's more that Kimba isn't a 1000 year old story
The last car chase scene too
And Kimba isn't even really that ripped off.
Kimba revolves around humans, which aren't even fucking there in Lion King
Why do furries get so upset when you criticize their shitty 90s children's flick?
delete your post
le epic film reference rian johnson. Im glad I took a shit during that scene
but seriously people even talked about it when the movie was new, it's not like is some secret no one knew or they tried to hide it
OH NONONONONO
So the military had a uniform boot camp for years that was apparently the same for everyone. Who would have thunk the military would be so uniform in its training that most depictions of boot camp are the exact same. Almost as strange as all the hints Kubrick left in ALL his movies.
the lion in it is literally called Kimba
Disney is literally shameless
>Movie sequel referencing the movie parody parodying its predecessor
This is some next level shitposting
Boot camp is boot camp. What the fuck else are they gonna show?
That said Boys in Company C is the far better film.
What about the cable guy?
this was an actual rip off, most of the best spaghetti westerns are rip offs of samurai movies
The film has been identified as an unofficial remake of the Akira Kurosawa film Yojimbo (1961), which resulted in a successful lawsuit by Toho, Yojimbo's production company.
Honest homage
I watched devilman in Netflix and I think it copied evangeilion
Hol hup.
Kurosawa was produced by the same company as Godzilla?
Hmmmmmmm...
R DOGS was a remake of that HK movie, no doubt. Ive seen both films. But it was a great remake.
QT is a ripoff artist. He ripped off the entire SLJ biblical speech in Pulp directly from a Sonny Chiba movie. Word for word ripped it off. He's a thief.
SW and IJ are both homages to previous works.
The Lion King's whole marketing campaign was 'Disney's first feature length with an original story'.
I used to think the claim was weeb bullshit but then I saw it and the resemblances are so fucking ridiculous. It's absolute ripoff. Not something small like the sunset run but the scar/simba fight, death of his father, the grossed out eating, Rakfi or whatever the hell he's called, poombah, Scar's look, scar and the hyenas, the sunburst on the cliffside.
The mouse is the biggest jew in the world.
Kubrick was a hack and a total fraud
Reminder that Disney wants to repeal the public domain law so they can own all classic folk tales
>The Phantom Menace 2003
What?
The fact that Disney was never sued for copyright infringement is just amazing
People have tried, but its no use... The mouse is too strong.
Muuuuuhhdeeeeeek
At least post Ikarie XB-1,a film we know Kubrick saw along with Road to the Stars
Walt has been rolling in his grave ever since
youtube.com
merely a coincidence :D :D
>an eclipse is a ripoff
???
And Kimba is the Jungle Book, end yourself beaner
I think both of these events also portrayed the sacrifice of others to achieve their goals.
wtf
>Literally Spike Spiegel
Not a coincidence considering how much of a weeb Quentin is
kek
Spike was actually based off of him , those are shots from the Long Goodbye
What did they mean by this...?
Disney actually spoke to them about adapting Kimba, but the Japs didn't like their ideas, so Disney did it anyways.
wow its almost likely all movies are inspired by each other......OP this is an amazing discovery.
