After NK dead, Tywin tries to strongarm Dany into submission, doesn't work, then the two clash against each other where Dany suffers defeat after defeat til she goes full mad YAAAASSS QUEEN SLAY and dragon nukes entire villages and cities to defeat Tywin at all cost.

Final show down is Dany nuking Kings landing, snuffing out the Lannisters, cept for maybe a baby or two who escape across the sea, and Jon Weds Dany instead of being a cuck and rules as legitimate royalty over the ruins of the seven kingdoms with a firey icy fist.

Why won't you guys move on? I know, hypocritical of me to say this while posting ITT, but I've barely thought about the show since the finale. it has ZERO lasting impact unlike many other great Yea Forums series that had endings that stuck with me for weeks / months after they finished airing (Sopranos, L O S T, BB, Mad Men, hell even BSG despite all its flaws).

But the main reason I think is I long gave up on the show being satisfying in the end, when you look back at all the bad things D&D did even pre-season 5 and the fiasco surrounding Barristan / Dorne (Thenns being basically turned into savages instead of the wildling "nobility," the way D&D completely forgot about Tysha and its role in Tyrion's development, the fucking dogs and Asha, etc.) it was clear that nothing was going to be satisfactory. They completely butchered the source material, and there was no coming back from what they did. In addition to this, they clearly rushed the final two seasons to get it over with instead of doing it right.

Even with all its flaws, I believe if they didn't rush the final two seasons, it would have at least been less forced.

Final scene he's made master of Coin and lord of Highgarden and it's never expanded upon. That's fucking it.

I'm the kind of person who can never get over dumb shit and plot holes like the leaps in logic for the teleportation of characters across the realm, or Arya in season 6, or the whole wight quest fiasco, or the complete lack of politics in KL post the sept blowing up, and there being ZERO fallout for that event for Cersei, literally no consequences for blowing up a holy site that is equivalent to the Vatican in Rome.

It's clear the success of the tv series really fucked him up, and he got massively popular, as did the novels as soon as season 1 aired.

Honestly, I don't care how long it takes anymore, as long as he finishes it before he dies. I just want to have HIS story and his vision told the way he wants to tell it. Even if we end up getting to the same general place as the tv series, I'm sure the characters will actually be developed enough for their decisions and fates to actually make sense in the universe of the show.

I think it's precisely because of that for me. Haven't watched any of this garbage season. The entire Dany arc was the result of a plot we see in Book 1 and even Season 1 back when things were true to the book. Varys is an illusionist, master of disguise, and the gaoler of Ned. He conspires with that faggot who gave her the eggs. Gave her the eggs so she'd blow up all those west coast fools.

There is no problem--it's basic human biological reactions. A loudmouthed, strong woman is about as attractive/admirable as a timid, emasculated man (Jon Snuh as he was protrayed in season 8). No one wants to see either shoehorned into a heroic role because it just doesn't werk.

This was garbage writing and pacing. She most definitely should have eventually become "the final boss" but not within 1 - 2 episodes. HBO should have spaced the descent out during an entire season at least.
