Bounty hunters clearly do the job well enough, there's little crime to begin with (it's extreme, but only a few people actually have the balls to break the law), and there's no risk of them joining together against Zalem in some sort of coup to negotiate power over the cheap labor of the civilians.

There's also the fact that it's a battleship and some of its systems are still operational. It likely has defenses in place to deal with outsiders trying to breach it, which obviously wouldn't be triggered by Alita since she's originally one of the soldiers who manned those ships.

1. In the lead up to the trip, Hugo's line "there's a place me and Tanji know" is important- it implies that the location of this ship is not well-known. If it was he wouldn't highlight this special knowledge.
2. People have clearly checked it out and taken what was immediately available. Remember that it takes a while to get to this ship. To take an extended trip out there with no promise of anything usable risks said scavenger missing out on the drops from Zalem.
3. How do you suggest a scavenger would go about dropping what looks like an energy field with Iron City tools?

If Avatar came out 5 years sooner or 5 years later we wouldn't have this problem.
If Avatar came out when HDTV was just taking off and all those HDTV were just 3DTVs by default we wouldn't be in the situation. Everyone replaced their old CRTs with LCD1080p HDTV through 2006-2008 then Avatar comes out in 2009 and they tried to sell everyone 3DTV right after they just bought an HDTV and everyone was like "ha ha can't fool me 3D is a fad". Then a couple years pass now 3D is officially dead and no one makes it anymore people are like "oh where did 3D go, I'm ready to buy a new TV now why can't I have 3D now I don't need 4k or HDR memes, those are just fads I wanted 3D!"

Most of the time all the 3D effects are just rendered in post-production, they're not actually shot with 3D cameras. It probably doesn't cost too much to do it that way for it to be worth it in increased theater audiences.

Captain Marvel is about 'female empowerment' (radical feminism) and 'overcoming a harsh world of men', and the movie is disney/marvel shit. Alita: Battle Angel is not Disney/Marvel (wasn't when made at the time, now owned by Disney), and it's not about gender issues at all, not beyond Alita being a young woman and growing up psychologically and emotionally to the world around her, but she just happens to be a woman. It's not making any larger statements on us vs them, men vs women, sexuality, gender, the sexes, nothing like that. She fights and takes on both men and women in the movie, and any adversary she encounters has made enemies with her or vice versa totally outside of their respective gender or sex or their sexual/gender political views or whathaveyou.
