Mirri never said anything about Dany not being able to have kids, Dany herself didn't mention or imply anything until season 2 when she says the dragons are the only children she'll ever have. Then it's not mentioned until season 5 when a Khal wants to fuck her and give her kids and she says the sun rises and sets and winds blow thing. Not until season 7 is it mentioned again several times with Jon then doubting it and earlier getting told by Jorah to pass on Longclaw to his kids.
They were definitely hinting at her getting pregnant. My guess is D&D decided to make Cersei pregnant instead so Tyrion would be a moralfag about killing Cersei and give her chance after chance, and so that Jaime wouldn't kill her and they'd die together in love meanwhile Arya can drop her revenge which would mean she has to kill a pregnant woman. That way Cersei and Jaime goes down sympathetically and they keep Lena around, and Arya doesn't get her hands dirty with innocent blood.
And Dany meanwhile who I think will be the pregnant one in the books, they made not pregnant to get rid of any grey area when it comes to Jon killing her, just like they had her killing thousands of innocent people and saying Cersei was using her mercy even though they'd already surrendered. If anything Dany being pregnant will be a real grey moment regarding Jon killing her and destroying both his and Dany's dreams of having kids

the most common theory is that aegon isn't actually aegon targaryen, but the descendant of a line called the blackfyres. they have valyrian blood, so they still have the classic white hair and purple eyes, but they aren't legitimate heirs to the throne on account of being the descendants of targ bastards.
the golden company was formed specifically to get the blackfyres on the throne of westeros, so the fact that they're willing to help fake aegon indicates he's probably not a real targ

The claim is this lad was raised by them in Essos, and Varys has been working with Illyrio to put him on the throne. Most however believes this is just a lie to justify a child of another bloodline taking the throne. Aegon thinks he will marry Dany but did not want to wait for her forever, and he started his invasion to prove his worth on his own

we didn't know how important aegon was until very recently. most people assumed he was a red herring who'd die unceremoniously after reaching westeros. it turns out jorge only introduced him late because he doesn't matter for setup, but is vital for endgame.
as a side note, aegon's sworn protector, jon connington, has a lot of traumatic experiences with bells. the way that dany goes nuts is lifted directly from him, so he'll be important too

Stormlands are vulnerable and according to the preview chapters for the next book, Aegon and the mercenaries managed to capture Storm'd End and Dorne wants to ally with Aegon if he proves to be the real deal.
High Sparrow is still in control of King's Landing too. and Tommen, who's still prepubescent, is married to Margaery who Cersei framed for adultery.
