Yep. The rason is, facture was supposed to be wet and glossy. CGI usually gives that uncanny effect and it works great there.

One of the best. Especially for 2007 and Disney no less.

didnt know that. thanks

Hasn't aged a day unlike the rest of CGI from that era.

I say yes.

Why do the Yea Forums insist on this being greatest cgi in the world, ever? It looks like shit look to his eyes then the bits around his eyes and when you look at the right eye and you go down about four centimeter and you look to the right there is a really weird tentacle worm thing

Parts of it are starting to look kind of iffy. It's fine as long as you don't stare at it too long.

What am I looking for here?

your mother

Eyes and mouth were makeup, not CGI. Transision between them can feel off

>the films makers were worried about how the CGI would go with the eyes, so much so that they painted around Bill Nigghys eyes just in case.
>The CGI works perfectly
13 years later
>dude, freezeframe it and look at the non-existent flaws

Its perfect CGI and you know it

This. Naysyers are just bootyblasted that their capeshit will never look as good.

warcraft orcs look better

It was insanely good CGI for its time and still holds up pretty well now.

It's a mollusc siphon you troglodyte. It sucks in water and spews it out for various cephalopodal purposes.

Based educated user

absolutely

Benji Button doesn't get enough love in this regard:

PoC 1-3 is the real Original Trilogy™.

Gore Verbinski is fucking underrated.

I did always find Dead Man's Chest severely underrated. It's biggest sin to most people seemed to be simply not being the first one

This is one hell of an introduction to a CG character though.

I forgot about these movies. Which is shame, because you can tell they actually put effort in the series. They tried, even though it turned out mediocre overall they still tried.

They're monkino

I think generally people liked them, they just weren't mindblowing, nor were they terrible, they were just 'good',

No, this is.

I think the aliens from disctrict 9 were probably the best.

Yet Aladdin looks like a downgrade from something that came out 10 years ago.

what in the fuck

I'm a pleb forgive me, but what movie?

Predator (1987)

Resident Evil deleted scene.

Space Jam

The greatest CGI is the stuff you don't even know is CGI.

Jigsaw

1st one is solid, 2nd one is pretty gud and 3rd one is meh.
Overall definitely one of the better movie series in the last years. Just compare it to the other dumpster fires.

Some of the best CGI ever and years ahead of its time, but not the best anymore.
