$100 million per-season is a pretty big cost user. Yes it's HBO, but I think they want to limit the amount of budget as well while still maximizing audiences for the show. THE FACT is HBO bosses do go on record to say they don't mind to have 10 seasons.

The only way to fix GoT is to do a true adaptation, and that likely won't ever happen ever again, at least not like what we got.
