I didn't the Malick but I'm not a Malick fan anyway. Parasite and Lighthouse are 10/10. Parasite is Bong's best movie yet, better than even Memories of Murder. Lighthouse is like if Bergman came back to life and made a maritime slow burn horror. Eggers is a huge talent.
Tarantino movie is excellent too. Feels like a summation of his career, but it's alt-history like Inglorious and really funny in parts. USA is going to LOVE it.

The new Desplechin is allegedly like 2 hour episode of CSI. Dolan has some mixed reactions some people are calling it garbage. I still don't understand why these films and also Frankie were in competition while The Lighthouse wasn't. Especially since the whole competition lineup is quite genre heavy. I guess Eggers doesn't have the same ties to the festival as Dolan, Sachs and Desplechin. Still it's a shame, especially since Pattinson and Dafoe got great reviews for their performances.
