Whilst personally I think GoT S1-3 is superior LotR actually brings everything to a satisfying arc with a main battle sequence which can’t be rivalled and doesn’t rely on being so fucking dark.

If you study every example of that picture the relatable ones are the book and the throne, the other two are done in a total different context, like that arya there traveling because of the adventure and frodo leaving because he was dying.
