Post based table slapper guy

The end of the video looks pretty fucking bad.

Ever since yesterday. I think it's a combination of GoT being over and Emily Watson getting pwnd.

HBO

Nerve ending is already dead. He no longer feels pain.

do zoomers not know how to torrent or what?

How many hours comrade?

I have my doubts towards this scene.

If a literal party man walked up to you and told you to do something, wasn't it oblige or get punishment?

They just fucking walked over him

Nope. Your nervous system remains intact the longest. Notice his eyes are still functioning.

SO do they actually show Akimov's face? All I remember is the lady talking to him about hitting the button but not actually seeing him at all.

alpha as fuck

like zoomers would even know about this kino

lol americans, no thankyou

They were doing what all the anons want the Roof Guy to do. They knew they were going to be asked to put their lives on the line and, like they said, there weren't enough bullets for all of them.

No way this is accurate to real life.

So this were 4 firemen, Akimov, Toptunov and Sitnikov?

AND JANNIES TOO

this episode got to me

Not great, but not terrible.

if he wins bet you post bobs and vagene

The miners were priviledged in the Soviet Union. Also, in the late 80's, the average workers had nothing to be afraid of anymore, the times of the terror were long gone. It's the fat cats and bureaucrats who had to watch their backs and even they rarely had to worry for their lives anymore.

so far the youngest user that have admitted his age in these threads was 23. So you're right

Attached: tictoc.jpg (706x990, 96K)

They were 28 burried, but it probably cost too much.

The skin fall of when she put the tissue on the nose bleed guy

The reactor 4 control room in the 1980s was still equipped with a button

Some people do stuff like that to feel better. Don't take it personally.

It's historical event. Not made up story.

its a dramatization my dude

Is this the most kino show in a while?

Attached: booleets.png (1920x1080, 1.95M)

Didn't the crew chief say "Get shooting, you haven't got enough bullets for all of us-- and the ones you don't kill will beat the living hell out of you." because the minister at first refused to say what the project was?

Why exactly? After exposure to massive amounts of radiation the dermis literally sloughs off.

reminder to never trust a doctor to care about your wellbeing

not that anyone asked the poor fuck

Nope. In an interview, they said that they were in pants

Yeah, but not like in the show. Some of the miners went full nude, most didn't.

>slapping a fresh bandage on it
I get that there's nothing they can really do, but that made me laugh

what happened ? fukushima ?

What's the difference between "Trust, but verify" and "Don't trust"?

They conducted a test (which was meant to solve a critical problem with RBMK reactors), shit went wrong, procedure told them to stop working at about 5 different points, Dyetlov told everyone to keep working as to please Glorious Lava Man. Eventually the reactor reached a critical power output, at which point Dyetlov finally decided to shut down the reactor, but due to shitty reactor design shutting down this late caused the thing to explode.

why is he so gross?

Yeah, it's one of the lesser damaged victims. Several tens of thousands suffered more.

No, much smaller accident in the 90s.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokaimura_nuclear_accident

tl;dr they did a test where the control rods were lowered into the core WITHOUT the graphite modulators, causing them to become subcritical and subsequently flash-boiling the water causing a massive steam explosion. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but that's my basic understanding.

She was probably already fucked since she lived in Chernobyl

not interactive, like itt.

You did everything right

Toptunov died 4 days later than Akimov, Sitnikov died on 30 May.

youtube.com/watch?v=hi4frA7h4nw

what a shit show!

>If it has that much power why do they keep its output at 10 times less than that?

You can only reach that power through prompt fission, meaning that to achieve this power you're willing to lose control over the reactor.
+ there are many problems, it would generate tremendous amounts of heat that will cause thermolysis of water, the fusion of zirconium cladding, and fuel elements, the pressure vessel can blow apart as heat weakens it, etc...

You can't simply increase the power of a reactor without downsides.

I like that the soldier hands the bottle at arm's length because he doesn't want to touch the guy.

certified bruh moment

One of the things people seem to forget is that Chernobyl STILL causes issues. It may not be noticeable in wealthy nations like Germany or the Scandinavian countries but former eastern bloc countries just dump the retarded kids into hellhole mental "hospitals" where they're slowly drained of life until they expire. This video is fucking depressing because they drop a girl in with the rest of the retards and you can watch her mind slowly turn off over the visits.

youtube.com/watch?v=oEMzLsf7q0s

>even my normie co-workers agree that Chernobyl is top-tier kino while GoT was dissapointing mess.
What a time to be HBO. They unironically can't produce two good show at once. They killed Rome then to start GoT. Now Chernobyl and no GoT.

will GoT fags infiltrate the threads now

No, I'm saying I'm too old to be "young". If someone replies "I'm 18" to that post, it'll answer my question and also not be a bannable offense. That's called plausible deniability or something. No it's not.

200MW

the fact that graphite slows down neutrons actually makes them more likely to react with other uranium atoms which creates more energy

Are you implying that's a bad thing?

iirc & tl;dr they created a mirroring effect at certain points in the insertion. nuclear geometry is tricky stuff.

If I read it correctly it was because it displaced water as it was lowering which sped up the reaction

yes very good... HOWEVER

Attached: 1534878647079.png (1086x722, 1.27M)

The fuel rods broke, snapping the graphite tips off the control rods and trapping them inside the fuel rods. This caused space magic to happen and god to get big mad.

Fun fact: in USSR coal miners had higher wages than doctors and engineers.

Nothing more attractive than a man who acts like it.

> According to the STA, Hisashi Ouchi was exposed to 17 sieverts (Sv) of radiation,
>The two technicians who received the higher doses, Ouchi and Shinohara, died several months later. Ouchi suffered serious radiation burns to most of his body, experienced severe damage to his internal organs, and had a near-zero white blood cell count.[7] Shinohara received numerous skin grafts, which were successful, but he ultimately succumbed to infection due to the damage his immune system sustained in the incident. Ouchi died on 21 December 1999, while Shinohara died on 27 April 2000.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokaimura_nuclear_accident

don't use too specific quotes, it divides the community.

They tried to get it back up to 700 MW, but could only get to 200 MW from 30 MW, and that was by removing nearly all control rods and turning off safety features.

Poor guy went through 90 days of this shit and was begging doctors to put him out of his misery. NOPE. They kept him alive just to "study" him through transfusion and other operations. If you are the average Joe, they could ruin your life by transferring you on a menial job, ignoring your qualifications, in the middle of nowhere where you are stuck forever. You were basically deported, even together with your family.
Miners already in the middle of nowhere working a specialized and very harsh job don't have much to lose.
The first workers strike was done by miners here in 1977, at the height of the commie era. This culminated in 1986 with an actual miners revolt against the system.

During the cleanup operation the scientists agreed to present the worst case scenario to emphasis the serious risks associated with the disaster. They estimated that the core had a 50% chance to melt through the reactor floor. It didn’t in the end, but that’s way too big a risk to not consider it a possibility. Likewise, you have to tell the guy who can get you the thousands of men needed for the operation that a lot of them will die afterwards.

Why do we always succeed in splitting the threads?

Russian confirms. Scene like this was hardly possible in 60s-80s

AZ are categorized into 5 categories, 5 being the highest level of emergency.

Nope, sorry. They had enough knowledge to realize that technology doesn't exist and won't exist for another century or two. The dude is a mini nuclear core and his insides are literally melting. Even if he could have gotten every single organ transplanted including the brain (idk how that would work), the neutrons absorbed in his bones and muscles would have contaminated them too. There is no cure for ARS once you've absorbed a strong enough dose. If I ever get hit with 5 Sv or more, I'm running to the nearest gunshop and blowing my brains out. It's quite possibly the WORST way to go out, by far. Nothing comes close to this shit. Nothing, nada.

it is tho?

user the whole point is to produce steam for generators. Where would you like the water to come from?

that delivery was perfect

It was under Stalin. The idea was that the Soviet system is flawless, therefore any issue whatsoever is caused by saboteurs, therefore every region got a quota of saboteurs they needed to find and execute and gulag, and it looked good if you went above quota. One dumb fuck actually had the gall to not fill his quota and say that there simply aren't more saboteurs. Naturally that exposed him as an enemy of the people and he was gulaged and his replacement easily went over the quota, proving that the party was right all along.

That is massively incorrect.

Reminder not to pour a plutonium suspension into a reactor with a metal bucket causing it to go supercritical or hug the reactor while your buddy does so if you don't want doctors to use you as a test subject in death so that the knowledge gained for humanity might make up for your individual retardation.

He basically was an asshole who was not only abusing his position as deputy chief-engineer, but also a victim of soviet propaganda about their reactors being impossible to explode. And as said, be believed it so much he could not admit when the co-workers told him the reactor is indeed gone. This also had it's consequences since this statement created a myth of reactor being in tact.
