Terminator gets worse and worse each installment.
T1 is a great horror/Cyberpunk movie that looks more expensive than it actually was.
T2 is a great action movie with a well thought plot, arguably better or on the same scale as T1, I personally prefer T1 more because I can't stand John Connor until Mexico.
T3 is a nice goodbye movie from Schwarzenegger before he went into politics, it should be seen as nothing but exactly that.
T:Salvation is a okayish 5/10. The production obviously had problems but I like some scenes in it, I don't get why people hate that movie so much.
T:Genysis is absolut garbage, I don't know why I went to cinema, it has exactly one good scene and that was Schwarzenegger vs. Schwarzenegger. Else the entire movie is so bad even Albert Pyun would vomit in his chair.
On the one hand I think "Worse than Genysis is not possible", but then I see that they went the strung wimyn route.

T2 is honestly a semi soft reboot of 1 because it includes a lot more of the original ideas Cameron wanted originally but budget and sfx technology held itback things like their being two terminators sent back rather than 1.
