By gay over-representation I mean 1 or 2 characters being gay while it adds nothing whatsoever to the story and when it doesn't make sense in the story. It's propaganda to shoehorn useless gay characters for no other purpose than normalizing a ultra-minority demographic to fulfill your political agenda WHILE not adding anything to the shows plot.

But if gay characters are introduced with a proper plot that actually adds meaningful arcs to the story, then it's fine, because they serve a purpose. I may not agree with normalizing homosexuality but I know it exists and it can make for interesting shows when their issues aren't normalized and are properly turned into plot issues.
