What is it like going to the cinema alone?

I go alone all the time.
not a big deal

Comfy.

Literally no one to comment on everything in the movie.m

I do everything alone, girls think it's mysterious

I'm the most autistic person ever (I'm a former brony, went through a commie phase, an alt-right phase, former cunnyposter, etc.) and even I go alone. If you order a ticket online and don't buy food/drinks, there is almost no human interaction whatsoever.

I once was alone on the showing of Frozen on wednesday morning

You get used to it desu. You might even be lucky to sit next to a bunch of teenage girls who thinl you're mysterious and try to get your attention. But only if you're a good-looking autist like me.

Unironically this.

Tuesday matinee master race reporting in

No one is paying attention to you. You could probably go barefoot and nobody would notice

I went to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier alone. Next to me sat a cute girl who was also alone. I still think about the situation

As long as you follow WakingJuno's Solo Cinema Guide you'll be fine, that book has saved me from humiliation countless times I'm enternally grateful

You should have rubbed her thigh

This, even better when you have the whole theater to yourself. No one to stop you from putting your feet up and browsing Yea Forums during the movie

>BOO HOO I'M A VOLUNTARY SHUT IN AND I'M GENERALLY AN ASSHOLE TO EVERYONE BUT I'M SO DEPRESSED PLEASE FEEL BAD FOR ME
The "Doomer" "meme" is some of the most pathetic shit I've ever sen being mass produced on this site.

It's a good time. Just don't go on Friday/Saturday evening.

>go to the Tuesday 1pm showing for a movie in its final week
>get the entire theater to myself

I go to the cinema alone a few times a month. It's really nice. I can choose whatever movie I like, go at whatever time I like, and not have to worry about if the person I'm with isn't having a good time. I can focus solely on me. I turn off my phone and enjoy being cut off from all my responsibilities and social obligations for 2 hours.
Seeing a movie alone is pure freedom.

If you go at the right time it's the best way to see a movie.

Brehs

>go to gfs dad house
>he’s a skinny guy who’s big into cardio exercise
>has a big head and thinks highly of himself
>he’s an accountant
>he’s liberal
>he’s a vegetarian
>he has this strange energy where he seems like he could get mad easily
>he has lots of stories about him getting angry at people
>if he was a big weight lifting or martial arts dude it almost wouldn’t bother me as much but because he’s so skinny and he’s a vegetarian he just comes across as a dangerous little skinny try hard with something to prove
>fucking hate going over there for dinner because dinner is always something boring and plain, like we had whole wheat buns with store bought veggie patties and our sides were baby carrots and celery and cucumber
>always leave his house hungry

this is why baw threads got shit on back then, to stop doomer garbage like OP

I thought it’d be weird when I first tried it but it’s fine. The more I think about it the less it makes sense that going to the cinema is even viewed as a social occasion, it’s not like you talk to the people when the film is on.

If I knew a dweeb like that I would kick his fucking lib ass, force feed him a steak and tatoo a swastiker on his face so he gives up the lib life for good. MAGA

If you actually want to go to the cinema to watch the movie then it's best to go alone. Personally the big screen doesn't really do it for me unless it's some mega budget 3D flick(think Avatar). Otherwise I go to the cinema with friends(ex and current classmates really) to "muh socialize". I assure you I hate every moment of it. You're not missing out on much and what you are missing out isn't worth having. The only way to appreciate a movie is to give it your full and undivided attention and that is only achieved when watching alone or with like minded individuals(impossible to come by) where not a single word is spoken during the movie.

>like minded individuals(impossible to come by)
XD I'M SUCH A SPESHUL SNOWFLAKE NO ONE APPRECIATES KINO LIKE ME LMAO

This. I would sodomize him in front of his daughter and then make her suck his veggie shit of my carnivorous cock

comfy as fuck, you don't have to bother with making forced conversation. One time I had a whole row to myself, and it was super cash. But then two roasties had to come sit next to me like wtf did they even want. Couldn't they see I was trying to enjoy some kino in peace

Holy shit, you sound so punchable.

I just want to watch movies with people who can shut the fuck up during a movie but most of the guys I hang out with love doing shit like passing around popcorn and asking whether anyone needs more and bringing up irrelevant shit. All they watch is capeshit nowadays(I'm not even joking) and they keep talking about stuff that happened in a previous flick and then start arguing about the most irrelevant details. Not that I'm particularly fond of superhero movies but I like to pay attention to what's happening.

>go to see endgame 11am
>comPLETELY empty
>a grop of four millenials decide to sit RIGHT IN FUCKING FRONT OF ME

>not doing everything with everyone ever makes you punchable

Me too, tho idk if it was wednesday. It was 3D. 3D glasses were too small and a bunch of kids wouldn't shut up. I have literal autism but right there I felt it more than ever before.

>where not a single word is spoken during the movie
I like to talk during silent films desu

Is the thread theme a joke to you?

I've watched Dredd in theater completely alone. It was amazing, both the movie and experience of having complete control over room that is designed to fit hundreds of people.

It's only uncomfortable when you're buying the ticket at the counter. After that, it's pretty normal. No one really pays attention after that.
I went to see Paddington 2 alone.

You'll fine after the first time, now porn cinemas, don't ever go alone or ever go at all.

the theater near me has waited service and recliners so it's pretty based. Go hit a matinee and it's like having the kino experience to yourself.

Bags of sand.

What about the showers and crab legs

Why are people so scared of going to the movies alone?

It's just another version of
>I'm not like other girls!

It's absolutely based. Best way is to go when cinema is empty.

Kino as fuck, it's the only true way of experiencing cinema. I usually go midday or late afternoon and regularly see people alone there. I saw John Wick last Friday and had a blast. I go with my dad at times and on some occasions girls...but the latter usually annoy the piss out of me because of how they scoop out the slush puppy with a straw

>go to the kinoplex alone on a tuesday afternoon and watch an enjoyable film for $7
>NOOOO user YOU HAVE TO GO SATURDAY NIGHT WITH ALL YOUR LADS AND SPEND $20 EACH ON A TICKET AND $30 ON POPCORN AND SODA AND A ROTISSERIE CHICKEN

Why wouldn't you get the chicken?

How do you guys manage to go in the middle of the day/ what jobs do you have?

>having a job in 2019
LMAOing my ass off at ur life

>there's people ITT scared to go to a cinema alone
Nigga

Are you american? Here (Switzerland) is a normal thing to do

I work part time in a mental health place, fuck 9 to 5 jobs. In the week it's the best time to do anything; go shopping, travelling, library, museums, theatre . I never go out at the weekend unless I really have to meet someone

Alone or with friends? :^)

they think you're a creep user

I thought only a few types of people did that

Doomer here. The last two times I went to a theater I was aged 10 and 16, and it was with my family. I can't believe buyfags are still trying to justify the outrageous costs of cinemas

>laughing my ass outing my ass
nice one pajeet

Went to a night light screening on spider verse. Only thing that annoyed the Fuck out of me was that we were like 10 people in the cinema max and two fuckers still had seats next to me the Fuck

Depends on the film. I saw YWNRH and Blade Runner 2049 alone and they were peak comfy but I'd eat a bullet if I had no one to share Godzilla with.

Pretty nice. I've only done it a few times when I leave my job early and I'm waiting for my coworker to get out of work because we carpool.

>doomer
>going to the cinema instead of torrenting
