pretty good movie, I thought it was funny and the soundtrack is pretty kickass

Clerks was a decent film for what it was. It was fun to watch and set the tone for Smith's career. To me it's kind of emblematic of craft film making, something that lots more people should be trying their hands at now that you can shoot and edit basically for free.

If you can get some friends together and make a fun movie even if it's not extremely long, and really try your best, you might have a popular hit on your hands. Getting a studio to notice might be another task but these days you don't really need them anyway. Starting small worked for Raimi, Lucas, Smith...
