Will it be worth seeing?

No, it's just "this kids powerful and kills everybody" the story is barely there and it's hard to give a shit about any of two-dimensional characters

Not really. Its more or less a slasher flick.

A better movie would have been
>kid does all the bad shit earlier on
>mother decides not to kill him at the last second and her kindness gets through to him
>they go on the run together to escape from the authorities while she slowly teaches him how to be good

When people get superpowers they always end up either being goody two shoes or fodder for the hero.
It's good to see a change.

But then it wouldnt be a, "superhero horror movie" like this was marketed.

Are the leaks true? I heard the boy kills everyone including the mother and there's an after-credits scene with an Alex Jones parody

Tried to make a thread about this a few hours ago and the mods deleted it for some reason

I don't know about the post-credit scene but all the other its true

There's a shitty cam I think

She tries to shank him with a piece of the ship he crashed in. He stops her and goes on to kill millions.

Don't bother it's really bad.

Kind of a shitty ending. Reminds me of the original cut of Little Shop of Horrors with all the charm sucked out.

Sounds fun

checked

irredeemable did it first and better

>comics
Nerd.

Lol...no you kill villains. If anything maybe they could have the mom pretend she forgives him so he lets his guard down, it looks like maybe he is coming to his senses and understanding what he has done, and then SHE kills him. All this crap about love overcoming hate, turning the other cheek, and mercy being some great and benevolent act is rightfully being left in the past where it belongs. If Anakin and Mace would have just killed Palpatine, there would have never been an evil Empire. Mercy and trying to do the right thing, follow "the Jedi way", costs lives. You don't redeem or show mercy to villains.

See

It's slasherkino

Premise could have made for a decent TV series. Given enough time to flesh the characters out and earn all the "psycho Super Boy" moments it was in such a hurry to indulge in, it could have been something pretty unique

The trailer fucking revealed half the movie and all the important moments. Jesus Christ.
Also, it should have just ended with him flying straight through the Earth, blowing it up, before heading back to his homeworld.

I'm watching it right now and it's pretty bad

thinking of turning it off but i'm near the end

worth seeing at a $5 showing
>supposed to conquer the planet
>HURR WHY DIDN'T HE JUST BLOW IT UP

Honest question: is it ever explained of what use Earth is to whatever species he's part of? If not, then why the fuck do they need Earth?

its left ambiguous, the best explanation the movie gives is the wasp/bee metaphor at the beginning. Not having it spelled out for the viewer works in the movie's favor imo though

Should have had psychic powers instead of Superman powers imo. That dream sequence was pretty good, more of those might have made for a better movie. They could have had a scene where he forces his way into one of the adults or kids dreams, turns it into a nightmare and finds out what they're afraid of so he can use it against them IRL. Would have made that scene where one of his classmates is suddenly pants shittingly terrified of him more potent
