dont use breaking bad in the same sentence as sopranos you turbopleb
the only comparable show writing wise is mad men (surprise, same writer)

breaking bad is fucking shitty my little bro

only a shit deals in absolutes

>tv filled with complex anti-hero characters who portray many negative aspects of masculinity while also being layered and sympathetic
>people will forget them because "lol fuck white men"

tv is a dead medium

what really baffles me is when people talk about got having good acting. its almost surreal how bad the stark children are

walt is about as complex as ralphy. he's not even close to tony

seething boomers

Guy Breaking the Law Deals with Morals.

Cool show. Totally complex and risky to make. It will be tough selling this crime drama to a general audience, it's not very safe. Most people don't like Guy Breaking the Law Deals with Morals.

Walt was 100 times more complex than Tony "dude gabagool" Soprano

>tfw you realise you'll never watch Mad Men for the first time again

hold me, bros

>one season

different ball park

>Mad Men
>Falls apart in mid seasons
>Family life is boring as shit unlike Sopranos
>Villain of the week in every season that fucks off and never mentioned again

Don't know why you idiots pretend like this show even comes close to the sopranos.

>Falls apart in mid seasons
show gets better every season
>boring
adhd zoomer
>villain of the week
wtf are you even on about you retard brainlet

>dont use breaking bad in the same sentence as sopranos you turbopleb
agreed. sopranos doesn't even come close to the masterpiece that is breaking bad
>le wacky open ended ending
the sign of a hack

That’s a good thing you fucking retard. It only gets better every time you rewatch it

holy shit you have no taste

Differentfag here, I've never seen it. You're telling me the writing is so good it isn't just a well-shot soap opera?

Don's arch-villian was Don himself

Attached: placeholder-title.jpg (1200x854, 54K)

this.
plus all the
>boohoo I'm sad better drink some more

You've permanently warped your brain, lad. Consider suicide.

>hurr me ebil

>>Villain of the week in every season that fucks off and never mentioned again
Season 1: Roger Sterling
Season 2: Pete Campbel Jr
Season 3: Ross
Season 4: The Cult of Zolthar
Season 5: evil Don Draper
Season 6a:
Season 6b: society itself

Yeah, it's great.

I don't understand. I'm nearly done with The Sopranos, and while it's a good show for sure, I'm incapable of understanding the nonstop fellating of it. It's not a fucking godsend or anything.

I'm honestly convinced the people who praise it as the best show of all time are just nostalgic boomcucks who are incapable of objectivity, masquerading their highly biased opinions as such.

it was the first of these
>suburban crime
type series that a lot of people could relate to so naturally there's a lot of nostalgia as you say

be prepared to acquire a smoking habit

Attached: 1467199378878.jpg (345x336, 214K)

there hasnt been better writing/acting/cinematography on tv than mad men and sopranos
that's it

>I'm incapable of understanding the nonstop fellating of it. It's not a fucking godsend or anything.

You have to watch it multiple times and take part in the daily Sopranos discussion threads here to fully understand the show's genius.

I agree. This should be said more. The truth must come out.

>there hasnt been better writing/acting/cinematography
That's not really true, though. I actually had to stop midway through season 5 cause I literally got bored and just picked it back up earlier last week to finish it off so I can have a valid opinion on it.

It's good, but it's not great.

Give me a tidbit then. Give me a little morsel of said genius.

>Look guys! Don's wife who has the charisma of wet noodles is going through a depressive phase.. Better show her riding horses for the fifth time this season!

>Who's this guy Duck Phillips? Looks dangerous and important, he also has a lot of power and leverage over Don for some reason.. Oh he just leaves at the end of the season and is barely mentioned again? Alright.

Face it user, the show had glaring problems, and you're just parroting opinions you heard on Yea Forums.

>You have to watch it multiple times and take part in the daily Sopranos discussion threads here to fully understand the show's genius.
if it takes that, then it's not really genius.

people who hate breaking bad only hate it because it was popular and recommended by people constantly

this. I didn't watch it when it was airing because of it, but watched it a few years ago and thought it was breddy gud

>implying alcoholism isn't based and redpilled

>Villain of the week in every season that fucks off and never mentioned again
sounds like sopranos desu

>Give me a tidbit then. Give me a little morsel of said genius.

If you demand it like that, then you can never really understand.

name a better character than ciro di marzio

protip; you can't

Attached: ciro.jpg (738x462, 180K)

it isn't at all
there's nothing cool about lack of self control

I'm not shitposting here. I'm genuinely curious. If you claim it's so genius, it should be easy to pull a small piece of it for illustrative purposes here, would it not?

I watched the first season back when it aired and it was cringe. It's hard to take Yea Forumsfags seriously when they think something like that is mature and well-written.

Sopranos was mutt glorified ganging shit

Real stories are about reality not make believe

okay fine you got me the show is shit IT'S SHIT SOPRANOS IT FUCKING SHIT HOLY SHIT I FUCKING HATE SOPRANOS STOP FUCKING MEMEING IT Yea Forums YOU FUCKING NO TASTE RETARDS

Attached: 1492190417702.jpg (346x450, 22K)

"cringe" is not an argument or criticism

articulate yourself like an adult or don't bother

child.

>that eclipse episode
Honestly my favourite TV moment of all time

Attached: Ml9mUvf.gif (450x254, 909K)

Season 1: Junior and his mum
Season 2: Richie Aprile
Season 3: Gloria
Season 4: Ralphy
Season 5: Tony B
Season 6: Phil

>t. sub 70 IQ

I will admit that there were two characters that came out of nowhere with a backstory intact (Ralphie and Tony B), but at least they left an actual effect on the plot for the rest of the show. (Both contributed to the NY war and Tony's degenaration into a state of paranoia).

>waking up every day in a pool of your own piss shit and puke
that's literally what babies do like all the time

There isn't a single sentence with either of those words.

>tfw I have cancer, my wife is a bitch and my son is a retard
>nobody understands me
>God I hate my life
>remember when I was a cool chemistry professor and hot chicks were into me
>*chemistry flashback saves the day*
>look at all the cool things I can do with the power of CHEMISTRY
>*shaves head*
>I'm gonna become Chemistryman and conquer the crime world with the power of CHEMISTRY
>I'm so badass

very epic argument user, you really broke down the show

What shows/movies do you like, user?

>stupid guy does something stupid
>smart guy uses science to save the day
literally every episode

Glad that you agree.

Breaking Bad season one had some good character work, however it quickly fell into pedestrian accessibility. In terms of writing depth nothing has yet surpassed Mad Men.

>"fuck white men"
>mentions Omar

What did he mean by this

he an honorary white, neffew

I enjoyed Breaking Bad when it was on air but I have absolutely no desire to watch it again. I've watched Sopranos about 6 times and Mad Men about 3. Everything else I watch once and forget about it

lol

This show was garbage and is extremely overrated anyways. I gave up 2 seasons in.

nothing will ever top BB

>Open ending
Embarrassing.

One of my favorite books is set around the same time as Mad Men and is about the same topic.

I have no idea why I haven't watched the show by now.

The book is Something Happened by Joseph Heller

Also, I started watching Better Call Saul. With these two my hands would be full for the next few months. Should I drop BCS fro Mad Men or keep both?

Attached: DbXxhQQVAAA5xmR.jpg (1093x767, 71K)

It was a fresh concept in the Sopranos, plus Tony does not give a fuck about morals, his struggle is with depression, his family and his idiotic peers.

He wasn't that complex. His story was just really compelling and then became really scary when he went full bad

the wire is better than both sopranos and bb you hacks

most recent season of BCS is trash, unlikely the show will rebound. Mad Men is a great watch all the way through.

LMAO WHAT A FUCKING FAGGOT

Chernobyl is two episodes in and is already a better show

>season 8 was bad, therefore everything about the show was bad

Attached: 1558066525457.jpg (475x476, 31K)

Can you imagine if the Sopranos came out in this social media era and had the ridiculous following game of thrones had? The reaction to the ending of the sopranos would be hilarious

It is definetely not just a soap opera. Would watch again.

I'll believe you

it really was

> Not enjoying the different themes and atmosphere presented in these widely diverse TV shows, but instead try to choose the “best."

Why?
