Still the first month
Still the first month
Oh baby!
>people used to debate movies in terms of structure, meaning, and general artistic merit
>now they debate purely in yardsticks
>taking pride in earnings you get literally 0.00000% of
I mean yeah, but a hyped movie like this will make most of its money in that 1 month.
I can already tell this is Scott Mendelson. This guy can't write for shit.
Because movies are fucking stupid.
You know television exists right? Being able to tell a story in long form and not artificially cap yourself to 2 measly hours allows for real art.
This sort of trolling is the only real way to extract entertainment from that garbage.
Imagine watching "films" in this day and age lmao
>implying everyone who wanted to see it hasn't already watched it
>implying libincels multiple viewings will add up to over 170 million
>implying it can compete with the Summer Blockbusters coming out week after week
Oh no no no no!
You really think this won't make another $175m over the next couple months?
You really think people will sit through another 3 hours after they know everything that happens when they could watch something else?
I mean the fact that people buy theater tickets in the first place already shows a severe lack of brain function.
So your home setup is comparable to a movie theater? Hahahahaha
Infinity war made about the same amount after its 4th weekend, but endgame has naturally been a bit more frontloaded so far. so it will be very close, but if it misses Avatar by
This version is wrong. It's not over until 2.8B.
>literally moving the goalposts
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No one is moving anything. It's not beating Avatar with only 2.7 billion.
It is by virtue of not being in public with a bunch of slovenly degenerates.
If you seriously buy movie tickets you're an idiot
I mean technically it will with 2.789
TV is literally the bread in an advertising sandwich.
TV shows only exist to sustain ratings and advertising dollars. They're bloated when they're a success, they're prematurely cancelled when they're a failure, and they're made up as they go along.
There are hundreds of great movies, but there's maybe a dozen good TV dramas, and all of them fall prey to the requirements of the format.
>There are hundreds of great movies
name 400 of them
Capitalism wins again
>No one is moving anything
You literally photoshopped it to move the boxes around.
Exactly, which is why the "it's over" box needs to be 2.8 and not 2.7.
Yeah, but I don't have a hundred foot screen or professional sound system
