First of all, you need to understand this, and this is coming from a pajeet, so you can stop with the t.rajesh bullshit. Bollywood (hindi films) and by extension, tamil films, malayalam films, telugu films, etc, is not that different from hollywood. The big blockbuster movies like those you see in the webms here, and in the trailers that youtube likes to push to the front page, are like the capeshit of indian cinema. They're star based movies, meaning they are made with an actor in mind, and they market it as that actor's 50th movie (if it is their 50th movie) or something like that. The songs and dance are released beforehand in an "album release" concert where fans go to hear the songs in the movie performed in a concert, and they see the actors/directors/composer, etc talk about the music of the movie and all that. Fans of that actor will go watch it regardless if its the same old stale shit they've been seeing all along. Movies are literally made with an actor/actress pairing in mind. The plot is not important, it doesn't matter. The villain is either one of two things: a literal nobody who is given cringe dialogue and is just a cliche villlain for the actor to vomit their YAS KING SLAY dialogue onto, or the villain is actually a former esteemed actor and the villain himself is given YAS KING SLAY dialogue and the movie is promoted as a "Imagine if these two actors acted in the same movie but in opposing roles, OMG EBIN" kind of thing. It's all about the promotion. Nobody cares about the movie itself. They don't view these movies in a vacuum, they view them with the hype, promotion, actor interviews, song and dance, all in one as a giant package. There also exist proper made movies that are actually really good. Just like how hollywood has its trash and capeshit but also have their underperforming independant kino film, bollywood has those too. Same thing, nobody watches them except the arts people. Public just wants to see generic feel good trash.
