I really don't get it. This is supposed to be some kinda "male fantasy"? When it's pretty much everything you could hope for a feminist movie? And it was co-written by a woman? Alita is exactly what you want in a strong female character. She's, well, strong for starters, has an emotional side to her, a sense of duty and a backstory that rounds out her personality. The main villain is a guy who rules from the shadows, quite literally as shown in the final scene, orchestrating bloodsports and organ harvesting, and projects his will on Iron City through a number of puppets. With a 94% audience score it's quite clear that almost everyone who saw the film liked it, so why was there such hostility towards it from journos and reviewers?

Checked, but yeah the general does get slow sometimes, but we still have a reletivly large loyal base of user's and namefags... I think its just the GoT threads whizzing by with 5 posts a minute is what makes it seem that way. Thankfully based Cameron already drafted the script. I'm still going to re-iterate it though - when's the last time you saw a film starring a female hero that not only didn't shit on men because muh female empowerment, but was universally loved?
