Reminder the conflict for the throne takes place before the white walker conflict in the books. There is a civil war between Dany and Young Griff to which Young Griff loses. There is a second dance of dragons between Jon ( the greens ) and Dany ( the blacks ) to which Jon wins. As king he establishes a magna carta ( the foundation of human rights to come ). During his war with Dany he raises the Kings of Winter with the Horn of Winter. The conflict between the white walkers takes place. Jaime is legitimised as a Targaryen to which he obviously is.

The conflict between Stark, Lannister, Targaryen ends with the political marriage between Jaime and Sansa. Similar to the wars of the roses wedding between Lancasters and Yorks which established the Tudor Dynasty.

Prior to the union Jon has to become the next Night King and move the forces of the dead back beyond the wall after the scouring of westeros.

You know that D&D knew that anyone would watch season 8, no matter how bad it is, that's why they just swindled all the money from the budget they could. The intro was the same in every episode - in other seasons it was different in each episode. The starbucks coffee cup and the plastic bottle of water means they didn't inspect their takes and only filmed a few takes per scene. The animation quality overall was way worse. They moved King's Landing inland, so they can save money by not filming it in Dubrovnik, but who knows where, it was somewhere cheap for sure.
