post your wish list for the next fantasy book to TV series that would be based, but you know the film productions is going to fuck up badly.
Post your wish list for the next fantasy book to TV series that would be based...
What an incredibly-edgy-looking character.
That trilogy is terrible. Weeks' Lightbringer series is vastly superior.
way to judge a book by its cover
Drizzt do'urden series
>Another fantasy series set in Medieval times
Seriously terrible shit
There is literally nothing wrong with judging a book by its cover.
The Silmarillion.
Lightbringer is ripe garbage.
Black company
that's literally why covers exist tho...
agreed
Its exactly as you think, its brent is fan service the author
fucking christ bless you
I want Napoleonic dragon warfare
Fuck this dumb series, only good part is all the females have massive racks
I've never even heard of that series, but from that picture alone I can imagine how awful it is.
This of Book the New Sun honestly.
If they could pull this off it could be amazing...
mediocre choices. okay world building. bat shit plot climax points and 'twists'... if you can call them that. Might as well ask for a YA series.
do want.
These books are ok, but nothing deserving of something like an HBO series.. but something more grimdark like the black company or the acts of Caine would make an incredible show
A single book that BTFO every other fantasy
>All these english books
cringe
hon hon hon
baguette et irrelevance
Black Company
The Second Apocalypse / Prince of Nothing / The Darkness That Comes Before
Illium/Olympos
Berserk
Hyperion
Based.
Too bad they'd fuck it up
Azoth was such a beta till not-Geralt showed up
what's up with all these edge-lords and the Black Company? i was like one of the first ones to read that book. i stole it back in 6th grade back in 2001 from my teacher Mr.Sweeny. they're gonna fuck the series up. i bet One-Eye won't even have one eye.
Go fuck your sister Brandon, mormon cuck
>First ones to read it
>in 2001
>it was published in 1984
>implying nobody read this book for 16 years
Say one thing for Logen Ninefingers...say he's a cunt.
did you read Dune before everybody else too wanna be hipster?
You could do it fairly low budget too compared to other fantasy shows. Gimme that Mad Bloody Nine.
Good luck to any company who grabs Malazan rights .
These books are the definition of 5/10.
The one-eye will just be in his pants ;)
Don't lie, you want it.
The Cringe Angel Trilogy by Beta Weaks
Neckbeard's shit is tailor made for a tv series.
Based taste, but they'd butcher it.
as if we need another Merlin series
I'd say some of the Recluse saga but it would probably cost too much and there's a ton of inner monologue.
The Chain of Dogs in Deadhouse Gates would be absolute kino if done by someone competent.
I don't need to post a wishlist, this is what you're getting. This is HBO's filler for the Game of Thrones audience.
Cringe.
Based.
>Dual Wielding edgy hooded guy on the cover
Boy i sure want to read this super orginal books series
>English books
Please stop
Based
Slightly Based
I'm sure there are books where the cover art has a guy dual wielding dildos with a rainbow aura surrounding him while he channels a spell to hit you with AIDS, I promise you it is an original story that appeases your thirst for originality
lmao have sex
no, why the fuck would I want to do that?
Step aside
Stop. New Sun doesn't need it and could never be done justice. Soldier of the Mist and it's sequels would be his best work to adapt for some Roman kino. Even Long Sun would be a better a choice.
It was actually pretty entertaining till the super retarded 3rd book so it would fit HBO perfectly.
Do people really still read books?
How does he write so fast bros?
>it's a childhood friend/first love interest ends up getting cucked by a sexy villainess turned good series
Yes and for a matter of fact most book are now irredemable trash only to cather to a dumb pleb.
Absolute takeover of humanity by eugenically created master racers, blood and blood and blood, apocalypse and terror.
Might be cozy, if it's like Thief.
Might be cringy, if it's like Thi4f.
This.
Go back to /sffg/ you fucking cunt
Requiem Chevalier Vampire
Read these books as a kid, so it's been a while, but I remember them being very entertaining and quite intense throughout. I'd love to see a live action adaptation.
For those unfamiliar, story is about this kid named Gregor who ends up in the "Underland", this massive cavernous world that exists deep underground. All the creatures that exist under ground are massive, like rats and cockroaches and spiders and bats. There are also underground humans who are at war with the rats.
;)
forgot pic oop
Gregor is fucking kino and way better than that Hunger Games shite Collins went on to write. The wrong series got an adoption desu.
>tfw no Luxa gf
>tfw no based Ripred as my mentor
Needs some Forgotten Realms Drizzt shiat
This. Someone start working on the screenplay. Don't fuck it up
I remember being really fucked up as a kid when I read the part where the rats basically genocide the mice
Kushiel books.
>straight up alternate history europe so easy to do costumes/sets for
>violence
>lots of freaky sex stuff
Given how the Drow society works, I don't think you even could do an evil matriarchy post 2016.
gritty fantasy
subvert expectations
Is this gonna be any good? Fedora tipping aside.
Muh niggah
not really fantasy but it should get a series
That's when they were basically marched straight into a volcano right? Yeah that was fucked
Mediocre, the type of fiction people who need to be told what to like would eat up
I can really see this being the next “capeshit” series of movies
Based post. The art was so damn fun
>Another fantasy series set in a Medieval Times bathroom
This is the only way the Malazan universe would work as a tv show.
>watching Vierna lean over her foolish brother in an open robe trying to seduce him for his grad ceremony
we will never taste such kino
he's right though
didn't that series only sell because of its flashy cover art?
no trust me, you do not want mormonism
Try hard edgy cringefest
That phrase was cooked up when wear and ageing were the main distinguishing factors between book covers, before you had covers that were literally designed to give you a visual impression of what was in the book.
Books can and do have dozens of different covers throughout their print life, even though the content of the book doesn't change.
I honestly can't believe i have read this piece of garbage.the captain of the guard was the only decent character
user, what does that have to do with what he's talking about?
reading comp
The Black Company is based, but those later books really dip in quality. The first 3 are some of my favourite books and I can remember so many moments from them in great detail even though it's only like 1/4 of the entire series.
I can't remember what book it is, but around the time they're dicking around in Taglios is when it starts dipping bad, and then gets just awful after half the company gets Han Solo'd in the final two books.
i thought that was a box of wine
>before you had covers that were literally designed to give you a visual impression of what was in the book.
But, do they adequately do that?
Elric
The Riyria Revelations
When are we going to see PRINCE AND EMPEROR in live action?
>never judge a book by its cover
this would actually be pretty good.
Also The Powder Mage series or The Gentlemen Bastards series.
This.
