Hey if the North gets to be independent, can we get in on that too?

>implying they were ever non independent

Dorne has always fought for Independence a lot more than the north.
It doesn't make sense why they also wouldn't ask for independence.

Dorne is the only kingdom that joined the realm willingly.

Dorne and Iron Islands at least should have asked for independence too.

Stop thinking too much. They just wanted to give Sansa her queen moment.

>elect northern king even though the north is no longer part of the kingdom

Independence is way too scary for the likes of Gendry and Robin Arryn - one simply has no experience and the other has always just done what he is told.
We know nothing of Dorne's current leadership, they were extremely far down the totem pole all things considered. Probably not the most assertive leader.
Bronn doesn't have any reason to want to be independent.
Edmure is Edmure.
Yara is probably the only person who realistically should have asked for independence.

It is why they had the title of "princess" but I also think its dumb, they obviously would have been the first to claim independence, their culture is totally different

It’s because they’ve got heavily depleted armies from all that war they got involved in

SSTRONG QUEEN

>Bran: no
none of them had any armies left to fight over the throne any longer

The only kingdom that probably wouldn't ask for independence would be the riverlands and maybe the westerlands.

Everyone else has no reason to stick around once it's clear that independence is an option. Vale can't be conquered by conventional war, The North, Dorne, and Iron Islands are separate ethnic groups with their own identity from the Andals, the Reach is powerful enough to be it's own state and not keep giving free food to the rest of westeros.

MAYBE the Andal states stick together, but the Ironmen, First men, and Rhyonoar are all fucking off.

There are few natural geographic barriers between the Westerlands, the Reach, the Stormlands, the Crownlands, and the Riverlands.

The swamps of the Neck protect the North, the Mountains of the Moon protect the Vale, and the deserts and mountains of the Dornish Marches protect Dorne.

Riverlands/Crownlands/Westerlands/Reach/Stormlands alliance makes perfect sense.

The only reason the North was left independent was so D&D could do damage control on the SJW hate for the ending of the show.

"Shit, Dany dies. Better make Sansa a Queen!" Stronk Womyn!!!!!!

All of those states also share a strong cultural unity, with their shared Andal history.

>Dorne and Iron Islands at least should have asked for independence too.

They didn't have to ask. Their is no king above them. They were part of the state because the top lord of the region swore fealty to the monarch. There is no monarch, so the top lord of each region is defacto independent. They would just have to walk away instead of swearing fealty to a new king.

>Robin Arryn - one simply has no experience and the other has always just done what he is told.

That means that Lord Royce controls The Vale. So what was he plotting with Sansa the whole time. What were they always whispering about?

>It’s because they’ve got heavily depleted armies from all that war they got involved in

Dorne never committed land forces to anything. Not even once. The Vale only sent their knights to the North. Their infantry was never mustered in any large amount.

>The only kingdom that probably wouldn't ask for independence would be the riverlands and maybe the westerlands.

They don't need to ask for anything. The Lords already have no sovereign after the death of Danaerys.

gendry hasn't even ruled yet, robin is a puppet, and bronn presumably doesn't give a shit about independence considering he went from lowborn to lord paramount, he knows where his bread is buttered

dorne and iron islands make no fucking sense though

>cripple and dwarf in charge with illiterate whoremonger in charge of spending

world's flimsiest government

>the tiny islands with no resources and huge loss of men wants to be independent from the mainland
you are right, ironborn are retarded

fuck off desert
