D&D were brought on to adapt a book series, this is something they did very well for five seasons, they, and everyone else, expected GRRM to finish the books by the time the series was done, I mean he had just released a dance with dragons a few months after season 1 aired, he had plenty of fucking time and all the motivation in the world. D&D legit deserve some defense here, what were they supposed to do? walk away and let some other pair of hacks finish it the same fucking way because the author of the series refuses to write?

To be fair, the last season was awful and the pacing was off-the-rails. Ever since they started deviating from the books it got worse and by the time GRRM was no longer helping them it turned into shit. I hope it's people finally realizing the show sucks and not because Dany didn't get a happy ending.
