So, what does Yea Forums think of it? I honestly liked it.
Catch-22

Reddit book and reddit movie. nothing else needs to be said
I never read the book because reading is gay faggot shit but the trailers make it look like the show is about a few faggots who think they're smarter than the top military brass and who fuck around all day and occasionally screw chicks when they aren't fucking dudes off screen. Looks like fucking trash, hate gays so fdamn much
Has to be my favourite book, scared to watch this
It's good for normies that haven't read the book.
I liked it a lot, but I also liked the book a lot. I feel like the show relies heavily on a knowledge of the book. I can’t imagine any normie who hasn’t read the book understanding it at all.
OP here. Have to admit, I haven't read the book yet. Not much of a reader.
Am I a pleb for liking this anyway?
Pretty much how the book goes
It's "fine". You can't really make the book into a 6 episode series. They make decent comprises, but the book is just better.
Thanks for saving me time user, my wife keeps trying to get me to watch it with her. Stories of pissed off kids thinking they're smarter than or above everyone else never really appealed to me but as a 30 year old that has to organize young shits at work this shit now enrages me.
I surprisingly really fucking loved this. Maybe it was the blonde girl's tits, maybe it was the constant barrage of horrific warfare combined with the constant absurdist humour, or maybe it was George Clooney and Kyle Chandler being incredible.
But it just worked on every level for me
Go ahead. What's the worst that could happen. Acting is quite good.
>good for normies that haven't read the book
if anyone went to highschool in the US there's a huge chance they read the book then
Isn't Clooney in it? If you consider any of his acting to be good you don't belong here.
Same.
I didn't like the book because Yossarian is a piece of shit to be quite honest.
not really
never heard it being mandatory to read
DId I ever say all of it was fine? Besides, Clooney wasn't there for much of the series. Abbott on the other hand was great.
You said quite good, if you wanted to qualify it with "not all of it" then that's on you, faggot.
In no school I've ever heard of is this read.
What's so hard to understand, user? All of it is kino and the parts featuring Clooney aren't kino.
Weird
For us, neighboring schools, and everyone else I've talked to it was up there along with To Kill a Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye
I've heard of the other two, with mice and men, etc, but never once catch-22
I liked the nudity
Of course you did
We had all of those on our reading list ~15 years ago when I was in high school. I got kicked out of one of my English classes and had to do some alternative work so missed one set of those faggy books, then one year I picked Brave New World and got to the point where they talked about kids having sex and shit and I told my teacher that I found the shit to be disgusting and my grade shouldn't be penalized for me not finishing it (which actually worked funny enough, think she gave me Cs on all related assignments). I read like five pages of To Kill a Mockingbird in 7th or 8th grade but I always knew even then it was nig apologist liberal trash (started watching Fox News around that time with my nigger O'Reilly) so I was able to argue my reason for not accepting the story as honest and think I got Cs or Ds and was passed that year for English class too.
It should be mandatory reading, but I'd guess less than 5% of kids in my high school read it.
I went to a blue ribbon high school. Catcher in the Rye, Mockingbird, The Odyssey were common, no Catch-22.
why do they use a shitty piss filter
Yeah probably will, it's less about the book but kore how every tv/film has to shoehorn liberal politics into everything.
Can't enjoy anything anymore, had hopes up for Chernobyl but even that has a token strong independent woman forced in I heard
give up television shows user, you'd be better off for it. Just watch movies here and there
Because 1940's = Sepia
I watched both episodes of Chernobyl, and even though this female character is completely made up, it doesn’t feel THAT shoehorned. I will agree that it is forced to a certain degree but it’s not bad enough to throw me away from the screen.
It’s good user
Its not a movie. Book existed before that website. Are you a virgin?
>I heard
nigga watch the show and make up your own damn mind
Did he hear wrong? No. Fuck women and women apologists like yourself
>just watch the propaganda goy, don't listen to the advice of your fellow white males
>i censor myself because it might hurt my fee fees :(
>catch-22
there is an old movie
imagine admitting to this shit, imagine being even more pathetic than any tumblr snowflake and not realizing it
there's nothing worse than a /pol/tard
>Atlas Shrugged is mandatory
>Catch-22 isn't
Is this why most people now are gigantic, self unaware, cunts?
>goy
When did Yea Forums become so terrified of hebs?
>>Atlas Shrugged is mandatory
no?
It was mandatory in my junior year english class. I can't be the only one.
You went to a based and redpilled school. Atlas Shrugged is definitely not mandatory reading in most of America.
not like anyone reads that fucking book since its so long.
Atlas Shrugged is shit, Rand couldn't write; anyone interested in her ideals would be better served with Anthem. Then again, most kids grew up reading shit like the Giver which bastardized and "elaborated" on Anthem so they might not find the concept quite as unique and may have the themes perverted in such a way it has impacted their worldview.
I love it. I read the book a long time ago and forgot most of it but I can tell they pull a lot of the lines from the book itself and that’s probably why it’s so funny.
The Fountainhead is legit kino though. youtube.com
>those fucking transitions
>including the rape scene in the trailer
unironically a different time
>Anthem is just a ripoff of We
that trailer sure is kino
