Can you imagine being someone that thinks Avengers Endgame deserves the #1 spot? lol

I bet you no one here has actually watched it

It's pretty good Stacey kino

Kinda sad really

Frankly user, I don't give a damn

seen every episode of Game of Thrones though :)

It's a movie about the destruction of the south during the civil war through the eyes of a spoiled entitled bitch who gets her comeuppance when the man she finally realizes that she loves walks out on her sorry ass at the very end due to being fed up with her bitchiness.

bitch kinda looks like cariad lloyd

And that's why it's B&R

Yes it is. Who is your type of girl? Melanie or Scarlet?

the one that isn't a gold digger

its pretty cringe and people who like it are retards. second best pleb filter after casablanca

no it isn't, but the first half of the movie is top kino

Cringe and zoomerpilled

>shit opinion
>shit punctuation and capitalization
>doesn't know what "pleb filter" means
Yikes

The soundtrack is great. The golden hour shots look fantastic.

it's like The Hidden Fortress, all about its side characters

No but it is one of the best films of the 1930s, top ten for sure.

Not only have I seen it but I've read the book too. Which is several times better than the movie, for anyone who is interested.

Crawford and Garbo kino

Could this movie be made today? I'm asking his unironically. The kkk are portaryed as justified or at least sympathetic, and scarlet's slaves are portrayed as being treated well and preferring to stay with her after getting their freedom

That isn't Pulp Fiction.
This.
Cringe.
Zoomer here, actually liked Casablanca.

I have, it's been one of my favorites since the childhood. Has probably seen it dozens of times

>The kkk are portaryed as justified or at least sympathetic
You're thinking of The Birth of a Nation

and no, GWTW would not be ok today, despite the slaves being the nicest characters in the movie

Melanie is pure waifu material, but kinda boring. Not a single bad bone in her. Scarlet is fun to watch but insufferable. Would not marry or wang to have anyhing to do with

It's the Avatar of its time

If it was made today Scarlett would be a slave, Rhett a freeman and most of the white characters would be portrayed as evil incarnate. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and an Oscar nom

No there are KKK in the film, they are just never named or shown in hoods. Ashley and several other male characters are members

California is it's own country. Nothing is okay today and everything is "problematic"

They made us watch it in the 8th grade

>You're thinking of The Birth of a Nation
No i don't. There's a brief kkk episode when scarlet gets attacked by a couple of bandits and the same night her husband and ashley go out orancing in the white hoods to get some justice for that

agreed. the movie is still solid though

Apparently it was one of Dr. Goebbels favorite movies.

Unlike Avatar and MCU : gone with the wind had actual cultural impact

Melanie is a fucking bore. Goody two shoes, above it all fucking bitch. I hated Scarlett but at least she had a personality.

What was cultural impact? What is this movie about?

It's a good blockbuster movie, but not the greatest film of all time.

I'd say some contenders for greatest films of all time are:
- The Birth of a Nation
- The General
- The Passion of Joan of Arc
- The Grand Illusion
- Citizen Kane
- The Third Man
- Vertigo
- Breathless
- The 400 Blows
- 2001
- Taxi Driver

>Taxi Driver
have sex sweaty

The only film here that beats GWTW is maybe Vertigo

i don't see what's so special about Vertigo

Atmosphere, tension, perfectly paced and shot. The story isn't remarkable but the way it's told certainly is. It also improves considerably on repeat viewings, first time with all of the critical hype is bound to be disappointing.

Isnt this movie just about some rich Stacy having the civil war brought to her doorstep?

Pure kino

If you want to be reductive, sure.

Agree with the ‘improves on multiple viewings’ bit. It’s truly a great film.

...

Do you guys think she ever watched it?

sherlock jr > the general

Kind of a weird looking dude and yet handsome...how does he do it?

Raw charisma, Gable exudes an overpowering masculine aura. You can feel it in every scene he's in, he's an alpha male.

she looks at the camera

holy shit
reread what you just wrote
you are actually a faggot

yeah so

Melanie. Scarletfags are cuckholds in training

I'm completely aware of how faggy it sounds but it's still true

Doesn't make him wrong. His masculinity is what allows him to own every scene.

Melanie was a gold digger. She married her cousin for political reasons.

I haven't seen it since I was a little kid and I have no desire to rewatch it as an adult

watch it again

Honestly pretty mindblowing that she's still alive

stick with MCU and Seth Rogen films you nu-male hack

when will she be in capeshit?
