If you love your animal, you wouldn't take risks with them. If their breed is known to be aggressive or even violent, you don't let them play outside unsupervised. I have a pit, and every day I have to monitor her so she doesn't hurt anyone. She hasn't hurt anyone in 9 years, but "she dindu nuffin she a good girl" has never immunized the owner from tragedy

She was a rescue dog. I know the breed can be ferocious, but the thought of her being put down put a deep pit in my stomach. What's worse is that her kind of breed gets put down twice as fast in the animal shelters, for obvious reasons.
