GROUND RULES: >No time travel (duh) >Max of one celestial or cosmic entity >No 'ThanosBuster' shit >Cap Marvel has to appear at the end, but not to tip the scales in favor of the Avengers >Everyone who was dusted comes back
I'll start:
>First minutes go unchanged. Carol Danvers rescues Tony. The avengers set off to face Thanos in his garden. BUT, the signal they get from this planet isn't because all of the stones were used to destroy themselves, instead, Thanos did something with one of them. >Avengers arrive to the hut, find Thanos just like Endgame, they fight him and Thor chops his head off right away >Nebula says that was too easy, then a trembling voice engulfs the area: 'You're right, daughter' >The whole of the planet reveals itself to be a barren wasteland, the illusion done with the Reality Stone. >Thanos says that they won't find him to undo the Decimation, and that his work will always be done. >Nebula and Rocket are worried that Thanos would make something far worse than the snap. Carol vows to look for him in every corner of the univers (this to keep her off screen for most of the movie). >Avengers set off to earth, defeated.
>Thanos has a better motivation. Trying to impress Death or something that actually makes sense.
>When Thanos snaps, there's no injury. He's powerful enough to wield the Infinity Stones and therefore is powerful enough to use them without suffering damage.
Now Endgame.
> Thanos snapped half the people and is now somewhere out in the universe with basically the power of god.
>The Avengers reunite, realize they got their asses handed to them.
>Cap and Iron Man still have tension between them, but realize it's the lack of teamwork that doomed them.
>Movie works as sort of a cure to Civil War. Whatever the heroes need to do in order to find Thanos and get their hands on the gauntlet, they can only accomplish by trying to reconcile. >Heroes find Thanos. He's on some mental cosmic journey, much like in Infinity Gauntlet. Except maybe here this is how he searches for Death or whatever. > Avengers take the Gauntlet off him while his mind is elsewhere. One hero gets to wield it. >Said Hero pulls an Isildur and goes mad with power instead of using it to bring everyone back. >Thanos, out of his cosmic mind-trip after this, despite having his ass handed to him by whoever has the Gauntlet now, assists the Avengers in retrieving the Gauntlet. >Both parties are aware that once the Gauntlet is retrieved, they are in no way allies. >Crazed hero is stopped. >Final fight with Thanos over the stones and Gauntlet.
Brandon Price
I'm sure this guy is trolling.
Mason Ramirez
>movie stays mostly the same up until they go to kill Thanos >Thanos couldn’t destroy the stones so he shrunk them and spread them across the universe, he did however destroy the gauntlet >Avengers leave Thanos to die out of his pathetic and weakened state >Thanos meets lady death in an astral plane >Thanos falls in love, but death says he still has work left to do >5 year gap is actually a year that was spent finding a stone (1 year for soul, 1 for power) >Thanos rebuffed by lady death joins the hunt in year 5 now determined to erase all life in the universe for his new deathfu >carol can find one of the stones, then fuck off for the rest of the movie

>Thanos snapped half the people and is now somewhere out in the universe with basically the power of god I like this idea, probably because its just like in the og
yeah, Thanos waiting patiently for the Avengers to come to him and fail again elevates his villanous character
Alexander Gomez
The thing that has to change the most is we don't fight thanos beta, We fight thanos prime from IW,
We still make another Gauntlet, infinity battle 2.0 takes place, But someone is sidelined wearing the iron Gauntlet,
They have to stay back and use the iron Gauntlet to intercept and cancel out snap attempts by thanos, Meanwhile, the battle takes place
Maybe cap marvel is busy in space preventing thanos' ship and forces from reaching earth
Meanwhile mayhem ensues, all avengers teams converge on prime thanos with complete gauntlet

The snapped all went to weird, overlapping pocket dimensions that resemble their personal ideas of a paradise. The Stones each have a consciousness, and it's the consciousness of the most powerful being to ever wield them. Each of them is vying to exert their will over Thanos. That's what makes him somewhat unique - that he was capable of resisting them all long enough to use all the stones in unison. His will and resolve are now faltering, succumbing to the siren song of the greedy, vampiric entity within the Soul Stone, an entity that wears the face of young Gamora and counsels him to go further, that half was not enough.
The action is split between teams in the real world hunting for Thanos and a way to incapacitate him, and a team of mystical types like Wanda and Thor summoned into the Soulworld by the apparitions of Strange and the Vision to rally their snapped comrades and either wrest control from the Stones' consciousnesses or convince them to join forces to stop Thanos and the Soul Entity from within. It would culminate with the Vision acquiring a soul of his own and through the combined instruction and power of Wanda and Strange, manifesting back in reality, in equal command of the Stones' combined power to do final combat with Thanos.
This "cheats" a bit by having multiple entities that are essentially cosmic beings(the consciousnesses of the Stones), but it does do something interesting with the concepts and makes the Vision a sort of stand-in for the role Adam Warlock played in the whole Cosmic Cube arc from back in the seventies.

>Nebula and Tony return to Earth >No one has any idea on where Thanos may be >They used Nebula to try and search for clues, never find anything >Captain Marvel follows leads but nothing >The team doesn't trust each other, Cap and Tony at odds, Nebula sometimes seen as still an ally to Thanos, Captain Marvel is new and not proven to the team >Scott Lang in the quantum realm is overwhelmed. He gets a sense that souls are passing through him. >Lang gets a glimpse of the Living Tribunal who seems displeased >Lang finds himself ejected from the Quantum Realm in some unknown void like place >The Avengers have been going to everyone and everywhere to get leads on whats happened and what to do >They go to Wong and explain everything, Wong fears that Thanos having the stones is far more dangerous than simply wiping out half of all life >The Avengers get a notice that alien armies are mounting for an assault >The Kree have found Thanos's ship near a planet and are going to siege him >Many alien armies have allied with any survivors to take him on >Avengers join in a grand space battle and ground war >Ravaging armies Cap is blown away from the battle and assumed dead >Lang in this strange dimension, meets Loki, he explains they are what he would call limbo, as Loki wasn't ready to die to see if he'd enter Valhalla or Hel >Astral form Dr.Strange reveals himself and explains how Thanos has brought balance to one universe but imbalance to others >The war with thanos's armies is massive and eventually it seems forces are winning, but no one has seen thanos. >Captain America awakes from a voice in his head, it's antman, using a combination of technology and magic >They guide cap to Thanos as everyone else is busy fighting. He sneaks into a room where Thanos is sitting alone >Thanos notices his presence and speaks to his disappointment in universe as they are not grateful >Thanos uses the time stone to undo the damage to his ship and armies
Carson Sullivan
This is a pretty good pitch except for the Lady Death part. I wouldn't introduce her directly (or any other cosmic force) to the audience just yet. Just tease it like they did when introducing Thanos in the earlier movies.
I'd change it to where Thanos is influenced by some greater power, but we don't show it to the audience. Maybe he hears a voice telling him to take action. Then we can leave the mystery of who is Thanos communicating with to the next Phase of Marvel movies.
Nicholas Scott
>Thanos fights Captain America, and is entertained by the fight, but decides to end all of it >He uses the stones to speak to everyone, that the fighting is over, he has won, and to leave >Captain Marvel knows where he is now and flies through walls to get to him >Thanos de-souls her body and goes limp >Everyone is throwing themselves at him and he is taking them out left and right with ease, using the different stones >The living tribunal shows itself again and Thanos notices it and begs it to intervene, but it doesn't. >Loki shows Lang a way out of the dimension and Lang tries to get Loki to come with him, but Loki says he cannot, as he is dead >Cap stands, alone against Thanos >They fight once more and Thanos is far more punishing, beating Cap to a bloody mess >The distraction worked, while they were fighting Ant-man snuck his way inside Thanos's anus and turns into giant man up his butt >Then Cap and any living Avengers join hands and uses the gauntlet to bring everyone back to life
Isaiah Williams
>Thanos reduces the stones to an atom >Avengers use Pym Particles to shrink and search for the stones on an atomic level
>Trying to impress death herself Stopped reading right there. I don't want Thanos to be some r/niceguys loser that only does things to please a woman, that is beta and pathetic and I'm glad they changed his motivation in IW.
Samuel Morris
Also what you wrote was basically the original Infinity storyline.
Isaac Wood
Plotting this would take too long but >Thanos is crippled by the snap but is much more creative and capable in his usage of the stones to compensate >the avengers form an equivalent of the Illuminati to spread a stone between each of them when they bring back the dusted >Steve still gets old because its time for him to drop the shield anyways, and Tony still dies >Bringing back the dusted sets up the arrival of other characters like Doom and Richards and the multiverse in general, possibly hinting to the return of characters who were killed/ elevating to a more cosmic scale >Adam Warlock in some capacity, setting him up to become the Living Tribunal >Give Thor the Thorforce
Brayden Nelson
Time travel isn't the problem, it's the incoherent rules they gave it, and the consequences time travel had for the character of Thanos. >basic premise is still the same: go back in time and collect the stones from before Thanos destroyed them >rules for time travel: alternate timelines do exist, and causality loops have to be maintained, otherwise every timeline will be reset to the point in time from which the time stone was taken - meaning they have to get it right the first time, and they can't "undo" the events that caused them to want to go back in time in the first place >they have to fight the Thanos that actually did the snap as the final boss (it's not important how, just that this is the guy who actually did the crime, and not an alternate version of this guy who wanted to do the crime but has not done so yet)
Adam Bell
>the first snap causes inter dimensional ripples >montage of tony flying the ship rocking out to quills music >earth is in viewing distance >radios in but engine finally dies >pepper comes along in an ironman suit to save tony and nebula >tony says "i better make you one"
>tony and nebula go to wakanda >shuri is still alive >shuri is trying to bring back vision (maybe he has knowledge of the mind stone) >tony helps >still tense between cap and tony >tony hasnt slept for a while but does bring back grey vision >grey vision knows nothing and is basically a shell of what he once was >cap and tony still have the argument >tony loose it and quits the avengers
>team gets signal from a distant planet of the stones being used >the team gear up and head off >they find thanos fighting cap marvel >cap marvel takes a beating >thanos has gone mad with power >stones are too much for a mortal mind >thanos is still going around the universe killing people cos of population >thors stormbreaker is useless now >thanos has mastered the gauntlet >avengers fail again >thanos starts to blow up the planet >cap marvel is so beat up and now in coma >they all get on ship and fly away >team have no clue what to do
1 year later
>cut to japan >hawkeye is fighting street thugs along side daredevil >both pissed about loosing family & friends etc >natasha finds them and says thanos will come back eventually >says she's getting anybody left to fight thanos once he does come back >in the last year he has destroyed about 100 planets >captain marvel still in coma
Colton Roberts
it elevates his cartoonishly evil character at the cost of a legitimate identifiable villain of the series that is arguably the protagonist of his enemy's own fucking movie
to criticize Thanos in any capacity as he is depicted in IW and to a lesser extent Endgame is batshit fucking retarded for every reason you can possibly think of.
Evan Butler
>cut to antman in quantum realm >hears dr stranges voice >voices guides him through it >times still works differently, only been a couple hours for scott >eventually scott ends up in the mirror dimension after going through so many >dr strange tell him hes stuck in the soul stone >thanos was still an amateur with the gauntlet when he snapped >strange guides scott and basically hes able to find a portal in the mirror dimension into the real world >this is due to the stones affecting all dimensions etc >scotts finds his family and goes to find the avengers to let them know
>shuri is now the new black panther >she takes the purple herb thing >in the astral plane she meets her father >her father introduces her to tilda swinton (bald woman, forgot her name) >says that she will help her >tilda says that thanos must be trapped into another dimension to stop and that she senses the dusted are actually still around
Jaxson Stewart
>Thor crushed by another failure snaps and goes off the deep edge. >Goes to the Library of the gods (in comics) or one of his ancestors. >Ask them to make him reach his full power (Becomes Rune King Thor). >Finds where Thanos is via his omniscience. >Summons the council of the God heads to get them to join the fight. >He also tells the Avengers where Tony is. >Bruce goes mad with anger over not preventing this and becomes World Breaker Hulk. >Thor and the other gods create godly weapons and give them to all the Avengers (weapons like the ones in fear itself and also amps like siege). >They find Thanos and fight him in an all out fight. >Thanos wins and thinks he beat everyone and lowers his guard when Antman appears and takes the glove off and chucks it into a portal made by Stange. >Heroes get a second wind and beat Thanos then use the IG to bring back the dead and undo the damage. >Thor takes his people and creates a new Asgard, Hulk joins him as he doesn't want to be on Earth anymore. >Thor has to go into the Thor sleep after using a lot of his power. >Hulk gets in a relationship with Valkyrie and lives happy on Asgard. >Avengers return to Earth, Marvel goes back to her galaxy quest stuff. >All the OP characters are gone and the Avenger rooster is back to handling small stuff. >Dr Strange shows how he is an alt version of himself from an alt universe that didn't deal with the snap or survived the snap and his real him got him to come here after the actual strange dies to pull off an Adam Warlock&Silver Surfer moment but with Antman instead as said above. The IG is sealed somewhere safe.
