Shows that stuck the landing on the series finale
Shows that stuck the landing on the series finale
Gay pirates lmao
Based kino
For me, 11/22/63 has the best ending ive ever seen
Even better, name a character that had a better arc than Long John Silver
Dude went from being an annoying manlet to being the most loved and feared person in the West
We're all gay for Toby Stephens.
I think starz shows cracked the code that 4 seasons is the perfect amount of time to have a show. Ramp it up, then tie a bow on the whole story
VAYNE?
the all time best, all others shall forever bow before it
If only Man in the High Castle had stopped after season 2.
Ray Stevenson was a great Blackbeard.
>Max still alive and running Nassau
>Stuck the landing
Pick one.
it was decent but S3 was a slog, the french bitch is also a terrible character and should be have killed off instead of Charles Vane
Criminally underrated actor.
12 Monkeys.
Brought everything back together and not only had a good finale but the last 3 episodes leading into it were great too.
What show is this? I'm gay for pirates
The Soprannos starring James Gandolfene as Tony Sopranno
Black Sails
Gruesome torture. Nice cinematography here too.
>"Five card stud, nothing wild, and the sky's the limit."
>butt pirates

A show on STARZ that ran from 2014-2017 called Black Sails. Muscle through the first season, as the second season onward really pays off. It’s meant to be a prelude to Treasure Island, however it’s much more of an honest look at how piracy operates in the colonies.
Yes, I'm sure you have lots of experience with how piracy operated 300 years ago
You first OP.
This show was a mess, dude. I watched the whole thing when I had the flu last year and it's just a fucking mess. Some parts were good, I liked he teleporting oil refinery, but they just shit the bed so hard on so many plot elements.
It was more controversial than good but it got people talking and was hailed as the first 'serious cinematic series.' I enjoyed it.
It’s more of how the colonies operated. My dad taught American History ranging from the 1600s to the Civil War, so this show allowed me to pelt him with questions. He and I would talk about what was real and what was bullshit and they actually did a good amount of research writing this show.
So suck it
All hail the one true king
yeah right
Only good post ITT
The best show ever and the best final episode ever.
Did surprisingly well considering their lead actor dropped dead.

Six Feet Under
>mfw some braindead simpleton believe silver actually took gay captain to florida plantation
yeah let me just believe the one character who lies about almost everything.
>spin off show is better and more fulfilling than anything the original has to offer
haha brba can suck a dick
Justified
Big Bang Theory
what a nigger you are
why does this look so aesthetically pleasing
>The book of love is long and boring
>And written very long ago
>It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
>And things we're all too young to know
Assuming you count this as the finale.
This is the finale user, why wouldn't you count it as such?
BrBa's ending was fine, but S5 overall was a stepdown from S4
What show
ye be a fool if he think the ol' jolly rogers weren't hankerin' for a bit o' man ass whilst sailin' the briny blue for months on end
there was no season 3
this hurt like hell, i was going through a very tough rejection and watching this was agonizing
The reason I stopped watching
Because it's an incredibly well shot show. Also, the colours are crisp as hell.
>dropping the episode before the show starts on it's endless climb to kinodom
Is Black Sails actually kino? I quit watching halfway through the second episode, it was just awful
Every single female character is annoying as fuck. Apart from that, it's Toby Stephens kino.
If you're able to tolerate ONE (1) gay character (not even a sex scene, just a single kiss) without screeching then it's genuine kino.
Season 1 was pretty heavy on the GoT pandering, a lot of sex and violence but once the characters start developing and they stop relying on cheap hooks to keep normalshits invested it really starts to shine.
By the time you get to Season 3 it's somehow balancing god-tier action sequences alongside incredible dialogue and character writing.
There are still a couple of shitty B plots here and there but the main story of Flint and Silver is flawless start to finish, they're honestly two of the best written characters in television.
Didn't this show end on a cliffhanger?
>every single female character is annoying as fuck
So it’s historically accurate and very realistic then, wonderful.
What was this show called again?
>toby stephens
I love him. One of the main reasons I got through Lost in Space.
Literal shit after S2
Stop lusting after my son.
fuck you
Good actress, and she bore a good actor son.
Anyone that thinks the series finale was anything but kino has no right to have an opinion.
The Sopranos finale is a close to perfect as you can get.. The entire season built up to a final scene and then stuck the landing..
No fucking subversion.. Pure goodness.
Learn to code nigger
>105 million viewers when it aired
Christ, boomers really liked that show huh?
>Whouuuooore
based
What is love?
>>That fucking Keelhauling scene
Jesus fucking christ that was brutal, good scene though.
P.S Jack was best boy.

The Leftovers
>You and I were neck and neck in this race right till the end. But, Jesus, did I make up a lot of ground to catch you.
based as fuck
Hannibal finale was pretty kino
The real finale was satisfying but the season two finale, Mizumono, worked as the better ending imo.
The Wire
Generation Kill
Deadwood's ending is surprisingly satisfying considering it was canceled
>he pushed a button and a remote control machine gun pops out of the trunk of his car and shoots all the nazi bad guys
high art right there
because it was made in the late 60s
Jack was the best part of the show desu
The first few episodes of the final season where some of it's best but after the Ron arc it turns to shit so that's a really bad example.

He's the best non-Flint/Silver character
The Shield finale is the best ending ever made. I was in a funk for days after watching that.
Not really, more of a guilty pleasure show.
>g-gingers can't be -good looking
Face it, it's all about AESTHETICS. Hair color means jack.
Ray Stevenson is great everything.
Max was shit but Miranda was based, Eleanor was fine after S2 and Anne was so-so
The Sopranos
Breaking Bad
The Office (UK)
Extras
Trips and dubs of truth.

game of thrones tomorrow when they kill Dany and normies around the world throw a tantrum
Idelle was pretty great too, secret best girl was Mrs Barlow thou
Eh, the last season was total fan service and some episodes shouldn't have even been made (*cough* Andy's Karate Show), but the very last episode did put a nice little bow on everything in showing how all the characters ended up.
This. And I hated this show but ex gf watched it religiously.
I've still never seen the last season of Six Feet Under, when it aired here, it aired on Channel 4, and Channel 4 had been expanding into the cable/satellite services and so they put the last season on one of tham
shit like that just fucking angers me
These are things the female of the species fail to understand and comprehend.
Watch it, seriously. If you've invested so much time into those characters, it's worth it to see it pay off. Plus the last scene/montage is pure kino.
Arrested Development had a solid finale, then they brought it back and fucked everything up
This. Michael and GM should have just kept on driving.
His scene with that upper class girl in Boston was fucking amazing. The guy should be doing more work.
Trips of Truth. Honestly, what I liked about the show was that it made you feel for the pirates. They're murderers and pillagers, basically the scummiest of the scum. But you still sympathized with them. Most pirate media just goes "duuuude, swords and whores and shit", but this show made them human.
Very good.
I never understood this. Weevils are a kind of beetle...
Rome. Season 2 was a mess but the last episode with Octavian's triumph was brilliant.
I give it a lot of leeway given that they were rushing to try and tie up their story in a single season due to circumstances outside their control. It still had it's moments even if the overall narrative was rushed.
most insects have a larval stage, weevils are no exception
I liked that it got into how the pirates were part of the zeitgheist of the time with their beliefs about liberty and desire to be emancipated from the rules of civilization.
It's a play on the English idiom of the lesser of two evils. As in, the lesser of two weevils :)
The reddit show.
Justified.
They dug coal together.
should I watch the first season or skip to 2nd?
Watch the first. The first season was the worst but it's stil pretty damn good after the first couple episodes.
>Ray Stevenson won't play Kurohige in the One Piece adaptation.
Kuso.
Mad Men. The finale wasn't the show's best episode, but it was a satisfying and affecting end with the right mix of clear ending notes and ambiguity.
The Leftovers' finale was fucking fantastic, as was the whole final season. I'm still taken aback at how well they pulled it off.
You're the Worst also had a great finale, full of surprises but none of it felt forced. The last season was a big step up from the disappointing fourth, and I'm glad it ended on such a high.
