I believe he didn't. I know there's a lot of evidence, but I honestly believe he was occupied with thinking of his son. Sure he could easily do such shit even under these conditions, but I think the key is in the dialouge. To me, "it was a fucking horse so what?!" actually is him being both annoyed at Tony for accusing AND him feeling this issue is insignificant compared to his sons condition. Tony and a lot of fans attribute this to him being guilty, but it feels genuine to me. Also I would like this to be the case as it would contribute to Tony going after him without him being guilty of that particular crime.
