Why is nobody talking about this? It’s the best thing on television right now.
Why is nobody talking about this? It’s the best thing on television right now
I've tried making several threads for it over the last few weeks.
0 replies everytime.
Yea Forums is full of plebs.
its just as good as the movie, maybe better.
Nadja is my waifu
I'm a couple of episodes behind but it's pretty damn funny. Unusually though I have not seen the movie
I didn't even realize it came out.
Vampires are tacky.
Watch the movie, it's great.
Also you are missing something in last week's episode if you don't know it.
C-RR-EEPY PAPER!
loved the movie, had no idea a TV show was even happening.
>muh Australian quirkiness instead of actual jokes.
Yeah, I'm not enough of a redditor to convince myself that this is not crap.
I found out about it through a thread last week. Like and I had no idea the show was a thing.
It's fucking amazing and a worthy successor to the movie, which is also fucking amazing.
Nice Y2k get
So what is this? It's giving me a Buffy the vampire slayer movie vibe.
>its just as good as the movie
So it's unfunny, low budget/effort trash? Good thing nobody watches it then
Mocumentary style, like Spinal Tap.
Because only idiot plebs watch tv adaptations of movies.
Fucks like you have killed all originality in media.
You sound like you need to HAVE SEX you fat virgin incel, stay the FUCK out of our crypt
I went in with this mindset but it’s actually a fantastic continuation.
>australian
Do I have to watch the movie to get it?
It's actually better than the movie.
Movie was good. I'm scared the show will ruin it like US Office
It’s more fun if you’ve seen the movie (and Only Lovers Left Alive).
No it's pretty self explanatory but it's a great comedy so you'd be missing out.
>im scared the show will ruin it
>show has been praised for months now as being kino
reminder if you like this, watch Flight of the Conchords which was made by the same people on HBO and is even better
It's ok
The show is just as good
I refuse to watch any more "team" shows. Teams are for girls
nobody has a tv anymore, grampa
The best you can say is that it's "cute." It's hardly "funny" as an overall show, though. It makes me laugh out loud maybe once per episode.
BAT!
Paul Ruebens played himself/that vampire character last week's episode coincidentally. Got quite a bit of screen time too. I was stimming quite a bit when I saw him.
That scene scared the hell out me.
How about Wesley Snipes skypeing them while sitting in the sun light.
eh this show is no where near as good as the movie
Great too, but I by far got more out of Pee Wee Fucking Herman, aka the vampire that wasn't rutgar hauer in Buffy being there. I had a buffy the vampire slayer, movie poster on my wall when I was a kid, probably one of my favorite movies and his death scene still makes me laugh.
>best thing on television right now
That image isn't Barry
Nah brah. Movie is still better.
These characters feel hollow. Plus Rhys Darby can't be topped.
The Baron's make up was great. And Guillermo is a show highlight.
Also your waifu is shit. Unfunniest of the bunch.
pppffffttttt
nah i agree, she is the funniest one, surprisingly considering the absolute kino the other 2 have done.
Maybe the only sitcom that's true about?
Elaine was second funniest
fine, I’ll watch it.
the movie was excellent but I hate watching tv.
that's not barry
Hate this useless character, the sister of Jonah Hill. Worst part of the show , she's not even funny
epic sjw snl guy!@!
Thats a photoshop right?
she has his beard
drag *clap* his *clap* ass *clap*
reddit the show
>DUDE THE OFFICE WITH VAMPIRES LOL
That one guy that played the gay guy on weekend update and the tag along on south park has a show? What's it about, being a hack?
The biggest reason for this show is to bring Matt Berry to the eyes of American audiences and hopefully get them to check out stuff like Toast of London.
I absolutely love the show and it doesn't feel like a desperate scrabble for money like many other shows after movies.
Nah. The office is just silly awkward bullshit for hyuks. There's a world with rules and they play the awkward angle up as any show would but there is so much more to do with it and it seems to respect itself that far.
That bit about her being a virgin but having this weird bf online who tells her to like certain things is a very accurate depiction of femcels.
he has two shows.
Documentary Now! is on IFC and getting ready for season 4. he and Fred Armisen film mockumentaries about all sorts of things but they’re usually played straight.
it’s hosted by Helen Mirren too.
>Documentary Now! is on IFC and getting ready for season 4. he and Fred Armisen film mockumentaries about all sorts of things but they’re usually played straight.
Literally sounds like it was made to be the only thing playing on the only television in hell.
I actually have no excuse for why I havent seen this yet, I loved the film and Matt Berry is a treasure. Is it as good as Toast of London?
it’s an acquired taste, yes.
not a lot of explosions and car chases for you to clap at.
and they can definitely be hit or miss. for instance, the one where they go to Mexico to look for a drug lord/make fun of Vice was pretty good but the one making fun of Stop Making Sense was lame.
not him but Documentary Now! is absolute kino
you should look at the episode list on wikipedia and see if you've seen any of the films they parody so you get the jokes
there's a jiro dreams of sushi one
How dare you! I'll have you know I only clap for Pee Wee Herman cameos.
do i have to watch the movie first?
nah dude the movie is great though
actually if you want to get a feel for it s1e2 “Kunuk Uncovered” was probably the best one I’ve seen. it’s a behind the scenes documentary on an Eskimo tribe filmed in the silent movie era. which sounds awful, but I physically lol’d several times.
thanks for the blackup fren.
I’m still making my way through season 3, but those episodes about the cult were hilarious too.
>quirkiness instead of jokes
literally the opposite, this is an actual comedy show, with setups and punchlines and everything
kek sorry it’s my go-to insult of choice.
I was never a big Peewee Herman fan, but I loved him as Derrick in Blow.
I just hope Jemaine or Murray (or even Britt) make an appearance eventually.
Toast is better as it lets Berry have his fun and he's front and center. That said his mannerisms peek through and he adds his wonderful charm. Definitely feels like Toast playing a character. He is a strong point of the series.
It's ridiculously good and Matt Berry is beautiful in it.
blatant advertising for the shit yet again
cant you at least like, write a little something, earn your money?
I love Nandor and I want to protect him like the innocent moron he is.
go make a new thread about one small aspect of GoT like a good goy
I'm surprised this is getting as much love as it's getting. It's kinda comfy but really not nearly as tightly written or funny as the film.
oh caught you out did i? writers used to earn proper money for promotional pieces, now retards get pocket money for posting a picture on an anime imageboard with "hey have you seen this" underneath
>now that the dust has settled...
>who will play X in the inevitable biopic
>was it Kino?
>I’m thinking he’s back
>JUST
>oh no no no no
take a look in the fucking mirror you dummy
Do you think she bullies him?
Everything is great except for the writing. The writing is shit. The show is only surviving on the funniness of the characters.
it's a tv-series?
as a movie it was hilarious
I swear the vampire who sucks energy by annoying people browse /vr/
she ruins the show
Last nights episode was good.Seeing Guilermo seethe after getting cucked out of becoming a vampire was hilarious.
>tfw no vampire gf to bully me into eating bricks
I can picture him posting in the CRT general for sure.
I think he is exactly the type of user who makes these kind of threads, knowing full well what he's doing.
He probably was the original banana poster on Yea Forums.
I agree.
>its just as good as the movie, maybe better.
Seriously? I wasn't impressed by the first two episodes. Is it really worth catching up with?
If you dont like it now you probably wont later.
I personally like all the new characters and sets, etc.
they were easily the weakest
too much exposition
I've only episode 1 and 2 and I don't remember the second.
> Found the paranoid
The Trial was absolutely hilarious, but it's episode 7. The rest are pretty good.
I love the movie but the trailer for the tv show looked iffy
Compared to the movie, how good is it?
hold up, is blade in this show?
yeah
alright thanks guys
I'll get back to it
As many ITT, have said, it’s probably even better than the movie. Watch the pilot in its entiret, it starts out as a rehash of the movie but by the end it has become its own thing.
A whole bunch of popular vampire actors appear as a group of judges
It is pretty good I like it.
How many of you have seen Flight of the Conchords?
it's the same people, hbo show, even better than this.
Wow, turbo Satan was summoned.
They're sort of different. Flight of the Conchords has a lot of music in it and they don't talk to the cameras. What we do in the Shadows is sort of like a vampire version of The Office.
No Stu no watch.
