I think we have reached a turning point in the saga at this point. In the final battle that happened in A Clash of Kings, the Lannisters captured the city of Winterfell and in the process we got the Targaryen's invasion plans and we brought them down upon them. We have to get them back and we can do this. That is one goal and we're going to go after them hard. The potential in this season is sad but GRRM likes to put us in situations where we can find the solution to problems in a believable and convincing way and that's what he did in the end. The second goal with Game of Thrones is to find the big twist with the big story coming up in season 5 or 6 of Thrones; and I think it's going to be really interesting to see how the story unfolds. rip my homie qyburn

In addition, I don't mind Dany going mad and burning King's Landing, but it's HOW and WHY she does it that makes it so fucking awful. It's all so fucking rushed and it's just blatant, if they had an additional 7 episodes over the last 2 seasons to flesh out these plots and develop the characters more / have more dialogue, it wouldn't be THAT bad, it would still not be great, but at least it wouldn't be the abomination that we're watching right now.
