When you think about it, Luke really is just a useless twink. How was he supposed to even beat the Emperor? Were Yoda and Ben just hoping that Luke would get lucky and he’d have a stroke or something?

He did exactly what he was supposed to do, he stood down and managed to turn Vader back to the light side.
according to ben kenobi if your enemy kills you you win
Yoda and Ben wanted him to kill Vader though. If he did what they wanted, how could he have killed the Emperor?
>Yoda and Ben wanted him to kill Vader though
And he did, Vader was dead and Anakin was back.
I don't think they were expecting him to face both at the same time. I thought they were counting on Luke just confronting Vader, and then figuring out the plan of attack for Palpatine later.
Yoda and Ben wanted Luke to CONFRONT vader.
He wasn't you mongoloid. Lucas' SW films are about Anakin Skywalker.
he wasn’t supposed to beat the emperor, the point was for him to inspire vader to
have you watched the movies? nothing about killing vader. Confronting does not mean killing, unless you are a psychopath.
Luke's story was almost completely removed from the big picture. It was all about the redemption of Anakin and the conclusion (lol) of the Jedi/Sith.
Even if Luke failed the DS2 would have exploded a few minutes later.
reminder that this is actually how women and faggots look at star wars
Not that guy but Obiwan's immediate response to Luke saying he can't kill Vader is to say the Emperor has already won. We don't know about Yoda but Obiwan definitely wanted Luke to kill Vader. youtube.com
Anakin/Darth Vader was the chosen one to bring balance to the Force, not Luke. And he did. Haven't you realized that by now?
The fact that he pulled it off without even beheading the Emperor himself is what makes Luke a hero.
Have you? "He is more machine now than man" Obi-Wan says, he's given up hope on Anakin ever returning. Luke never giving up on his attachment to his father when Yoda and Obi-Wan thought he was lost forever separates Luke from the Jedi of the past.
So what happens after Luke confronts Vader and doesn't kill him? Is his job done?
Luke had FAITH you spastic austit. thats the whole point of his character he didnt have skill or love or some gay shit he just hoped that the force had a better plan for him and it did.
Luke is the embodiment of faith and optimism
desu Star Wars were never good. TLJ is still the worst of them all though.
Niggers
he wasn't though, the prequel choreography just makes you think that, he was strong as fuck in OT. He never fought Sheev either, in the original script he was going to fight him and win
The real question here is why do you over-analyze a movie made for children?
Go masturbate
obi-wan's plan was this
>not tell luke that vader is dad
>give luke reason to kill vader
>the emotional shock to vader of luke's identity helps him to kill vader
had Luke finished his training before confronting Vader away from the Emperor, it might've worked
we don't know when this became "the plan" but obi-wan had decided by the start of IV, yoda might never have been on board because he didn't want to train Luke at first
this
>from a certain point of view
Ben would be proud.
Well Obi Wan never understood the 4D chess everyone else was playing.
this
A unique situation. A true master that ascended and was able to guide Luke from the force afterlife.
>Even if Luke failed the DS2 would have exploded a few minutes later.
This has always been my biggest problem with Episode VI, Luke struggle becomes pretty pointless once you realize this.
