They could have had the people of Winterfell flee south or something, and did the battle over 3 episodes, a Jon Snow / NK battle where they got split with fire, or it was Arya and Jon fighting him in the end. My point is, it could have been written better for it to be kino. The opposite can be said for the finale leaks. No matter what course they would have went, none of them make sense while the rest of the plot would fit if done properly.

Dany was OP when she arrived at Dragonstone. She could have immediately taken King's Landing with next to zero resistance. But the dumb imp told her to hold off, in order to keep up her image. The fact is, one dragon is all you need. Herrenhall is proof of this. The biggest, sturdiest, castle ever built, and it burned down in one night. There's nothing that can stop dragons, except the stupid ballista. Which, she can just dodge.

The problem is that the times her 'madness' is alluded to a lot of the time it's something that a rational ruler would do for that time period. Ffs plenty of other charatcers have shown just as if not even worse violent tendencies, but Dany's is seen as extra bad because she does it with dragons and not a sword or magic face stealing bullshit. She has only wanted to burn people she considered her enemies and there were plenty of times she went out of the way to protect people when she didn't have to.
I am completely fine with her becoming a mad targ, but the books have handled it way better and that's in part to the nature of differing mediums
