What does Yea Forums think of Gilmore Girls?

I've seen the entire series with my fiancee and this is correct.

As a show it's okay. Too many annoying characters and plotlines in later seasons though. Like the entire Asian girl and her band and Luke's daughter.

Yea she has a boyfriend and a separate fuckbuddy.
Rory is also 32 in the revival, the same age as Lorelai when the series started, but is infinitely less mature and competent than her single mother.

Teenage Rory and adult Rory are one in the same, in that they both have had everything handed to them despite deserving none of it, and still finding ways to gripe and put yourself in easily avoidable situations by anyone who actually IS intelligent and IS mature, rather than just telling people about it offhandedly.

Makes me wonder if the whole meme of the series is would Lorelai have been better off staying with her parents and being spoiled or just being a single mom but that story is playing through Rory rather than her.

Rory and Logan deserve each other because while seemingly have everything, they are miserable people who are complete self-centered douchebags. Fuck each one of them individually.

The band actually made Lane somewhat interesting, before that she was just Rory's boring sidekick

Rory gets more and more cunty and selfish as the series progresses while Lorelai is the opposite, starts out as a bitch who ghosts her parents but becomes a better person as the show goes on

It's strange to think that the character showing true growth and maturity in the show was actually the mom, while the daughter remained a brat. Oh shit, I think I may have just figured the entire show out after all this time.

Does anyone actually think the show is legitimately funny? I can get over the fact that their dialogue is completely unrealistic, but I just don't think any of the quips are even close to landing.

It's decently well made with some very likeable Side characters, but Lorelai and Rory are obnoxious as hell

Lorelei is absolutely cringey with all her little quips and fast-talking in between the Italian dick she's constantly choking on.

Remove the Gilmore Girls entirely (but not her based parents, just rewrite them) , call the show "Stars Hollow," focus on Luke and you have an amazing show.

I think it's pretty funny, but the main appeal for me is the cozy small town setting and atmosphere, and also I jerk off to it.

Any character that's not Lorelai or Rory can actually be pretty funny.

Anytime Kurt is being autistic around Luke makes me laugh

GG and MASH are two of my favorite shows, I guess I love unrealistically sharp dialogue.
I live in Connecticut pretty much exactly where Stars Hollow would be, so that's cool too.

When it aired I was Rory's age, but now I'm Lorelei's - though I always thought Rory was pretty unreasonable for someone so knowledgable.
