Never seent the first one but the second one is better

Black Rain

Why does one need to be better than the other?

Both great. 2049 better.

I've seen them both. Alita: Battle Angel is better.

Both films are extremely good and anyone who thinks either one is bad is a certified mental midget, fact.

I much prefer the original. Final cut btw and not the gay theatrical or director's cut.

I would tend to disagree. Fury Road edges out Alita: Battle Angel by a small margin.

Both are great.

I hope that garbage BR TV show they are trying to make get's into some production hell and never get's released.

Everyone knows For A Few Dollars More easily tops the whole Sergio Leone Man With No Name trilogy.

I'm 6'2" asshole!

Both are good, the first is better.
They'd be equal but some parts on 2049, like the
>''call to robo-revolution, slayyy''
were so fucking out of place and awkward.

FPBP

>gets called a mental midget
>starts talking about their physical height

>he thinks replicants are robots

The first one. Everyone with a high cinematic IQ knows 2049 was dishonest flick genetically engineered to appeal to juvenile imdbspawn r*dditors with no sense of sophistication who laud pseudo visuals, which supports upvote groupthink mentality, and meme acting with a good movie pandering r*ddit tier "subversion entertainment" sensibilities and a wannabe classic aesthetic

Who gives a shit.
I don't care if they're bots or human beans or neither.
It's just so cliche and stupid to have a secret ragtag society of robots/ slaves/ insert persecuted group here working for freedumbs, especially when they are introduced in such a shit way for literally just one scene.

>Original
>Literally created a subgenre
>Highly influential in all types of media
>Molded japanese pop culture
>still on peoples minds and hearts

>Runtime 2049
>already forgoten
>rippedoff holo-waifu from the nips
>generic chosen one story
>too much women in speaking roles

This post is a dishonest stale pasta genetically engineered to appeal to juvenile imdbspawn redditors with no sense of sophistication who laud pseudo buzzwords, which support contrarian groupthink mentality, and meme arguments with a good video game pandering reddit tier "playstation entertainment" sensibilities and a wannabe armond white aesthetic

First one is better as a story and characters but as a movie 2049 is better made.

>rippedoff holo-waifu from the nips
True

the original cant be better it was reworked for decades it was so bad, 2049 even fixes what couldnt be edited

Performances: BR > BR2049 (certainly not because of Deckard though)
Soundtrack: BR > BR2049
Cinematography: Tie
Sound Design/Mixing: BR2049 > BR
Set Design: BR > BR2049
Production Design: BR2049 > BR
Visual Effects: Tie.
Editing: Tie.
Writing: BR2049 > BR (Fancher was and is a hack though)

BR: 3
BR2049: 3
So about the same.

2049 would be perfect if not for the replicant rebellion shit
original BR would be perfect if Tyrell didn't let a random engineer up to his room (with no security) to play chess

for me its the 1st one
but the 2nd one is also great and beautiful

The original. They're both great films though

Your mom

Both are great.
But to me, 2049 is the most rewatchable.
Original have the aesthetic of the city, the Rachel's interrogation and the ending.

2049.
- Introduction of joi
- k meets luv
- k and joi traveling
- ahhhhhh scene
- trio scene
- murdering of joshi
- k in las Vegas
- k vs deckard
- luv vs emanator
- pink joi
- sea wall
- ending and credits.

Its always a joy rewatch some of those scenes.

1st but the 2nd did a good job too
