Currently on hollyoaks theres an all white family who are essentially a white supremacist group and they are bullying / being racist towards / marginalising a Muslim family (who have an openly lesbian daughter, as we all know how tolerant those Muslim families are) by posting bacon through their door etc. Everyone at channel 4 can literally fucking neck themselves. Nah the writing got noticeably better after it got picked up by Netflix, as did the budget and production values. Didn't really notice if the acting changed. The show also got smarter and the premises for the episodes became more nuanced/interesting.
