>He uses it as target practice
>He uses it to impress his waifu
I wonder what happened to it. Last we see it's being inherited by Tommen.

Also, I miss them bros. I miss season 3.

Remember how Jaime wanted to fill his pages in the Book fo Brothers with noteworthy things instead of just being a shitty squire

Yea Forums posters have adhd

>Jaime Lannister
>He kills King Aerys
>He fucks his sister
The end

Joffrey is right all along. No way for 40 this year old boomer can redeem himself.

he got killed by the man who killed jaime lannister, that's something at least.

>King's Landing riots, eats people and tries to rape Sansa
>King's Landing briefly turns into the islamic state, walk of shame
>King's Landing tries to have Tyrion killed for Joffrey of all people
>Dany burns down King's Landing like she said she would

She’d be really act shitty to him and Winterfell at first until their first child is born, then start to warm up to him. Jon Snow would undo most of their progress but I truly think she’d figure out very quickly upon looking at the baby that he has Rhaegar’s features, confront Ned about it and be sworn to secrecy, raising him as her own. Then the other kids that come from Ned and a happy life she lives with him and them makes her realize she loves him. She’s far enough away from Jaime too that she’d have no chance to fuck him and would realize how awful that kind of relationship is.

Do you think it would've been better if Dany started cackling like a banshee?

>KYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

are there any good rage reviews for episode 5?

I'm glad this trainwreck of disappointment and suffering is almost over.

Also /r/ing smug daenerys.

Attached: 1557222910685.png (776x883, 409K)

>what else is new?
It doesn't make episodes themselves any better. And at least pre-Season 8 battles didn't feel like a chore to sit through. I can't believe that people who write for television don't know how to pace an episode of the show they worked on for 10 years.

> and it was intended form the start, which brings the whole thing back to "rushed".
It doesn't matter what was intended or not. Danny going mad itself isn't an issue. It's the way show treats it. Just because she's depressed and feeling pressure, doesn't mean she should start burning women and children randomly with "le mad lol" argument. And ignoring fucking Cersei and Red Keep (which were supposed to be her main target) on top of that.
That was supposed to be THE finale moment of the show, full of drama and tension. Instead I couldn't stop laighting at how ridiculous and over the top the whole Bells moment was. It really felt like something out of the cheap edgy anime.
There were dozens of ways to handle her turn to madness better, but D&D chose the worst possible one. It should have been the definitive moment of her cheracter arc, instead it will a meme. So yeah, I'd say it was Danny's character assassination.

Tick, tock, Daenerys. The Impalement Day is coming.

Attached: 1557876323474.jpg (500x383, 79K)

Wrong image, but Punished Dany is a close second anyway so whatever

No one fucking cared when they butchered Stannis's character why do they care now?

she should have said 'heh... father, are you watching' and then activated her sharingan or whatever

I'd knight her laughing tree, if you know what I mean

Attached: lyanna.jpg (613x692, 31K)

So why did Jaime leave to save Cersei not only after Dany and Jon marched south but after he heard that she was fucking Dany up so far?

EGG????

I dreamed /got/ was old

Those threads are pretty repetitive. Waiting for the Japanese shill right now.

Um, sweety, Stannis is a man so he deserves to have his character ruined. Game of Thrones is supposed to be about empowering women, okay?

>a woman who failed so hard she reverted back to little girl.
>People don't revert into child-like forms when broken and facing death
>aww widdle solider dying in a trench holding his guts in crying for his mommy
The dying mind is a demented mind. Last words are often as significant as first words, for all the weight they're given.

It was actually pretty well done scene. I like those subtle details in the writing and Lena Heady's acting. She does a lot considering she's a beautiful woman with the strange "curse" of looking remarkably ugly every time she shows any emotion other than cunt.

Attached: emotions-make-me-ugly.jpg (634x357, 17K)

>Master of Coin: Tyrion
>Master of Ships: Yara/Euron
>Grand Maester: Qyburn
>Master of Laws: Bran (?)
>Head of Kingsguard: The Hound/Undead Mountain 2.0

>”are you happy with how the show ends”
>that cute nervous almost derisive laugh she gives
I feel so bad for her

because people are obsessed with sex and pretty things
stannis isn't sexy and he isn't a girl so the normalfag audience doesn't give a shit

>Cersei would have had more children than with Bobby as her husband because the Stark seed is potent, which would make her happy, she'd not be bombing churches and wouldn't have Robert killed because she'd be done with the whole incest angle and who cares if Ned's loud drunk friend fucks more whores than there are boars.

Can't wait for next week to see Jon's approval rise

Serious question here, all Brienne stuff aside, whose idea was it, when writing the show, to not follow Jaime and Cersei's gradual falling out after Jaime got back to KL after being released by Catelyn? There was a LOT of content in the books about how they began to feel repulsed by each other, Cersei feeling as if Jaime had completely changed, especially being disgusted by his physical appearance, and Jaime seeing Cersei as more of a cunt and a slut than he had ever before. I'm not going to moan about their death scene because for all I know that is what will happen in the books and I could see that coming, but what was the point of Jaime just hanging around doing nothing and remaining by Cersei's side for like 3 seasons in the show, which completely went against what he's been doing in the books, which they are meant to be adapting?

Jaime Lannister with one hand vs Show Barriston Selmie

Go!

Ugly bitch

Attached: slow.png (918x605, 245K)

It couldn't work because Ned was married off to Catelyn before he rode off for war. Robb was already born when he came back to Catelyn. It'd be really fucked up if he brought home Cersei and Jon Snow. I don't think the Tullys would stand for it.

so the valonqar was a pile of bricks? based

Who actually dislike the ending of the show:
>Emilia (Dany)
>Kit (Jon)
>Conleth (Coughing eunuch man)
>Dinklage (Funny dwarf man)
>Sophie (Shansa)
Who actually like the ending of the show:
>Nikolaj (Jaime)
>Lena (Cersei)
>Rory (Hound)
Not sure about it:
>Pilou (Euron)
>Vladimir (Night King)

They only loosely followed the books, and from like 2 seasons ago they've split off into completely different directions

God she's too good for D&D's butchery of her character. You can tell she loves playing Dany, and whatever your feelings on her as an actor, she doesn't deserve the character assassination that is D&D's hamfisted writing. She can pull off Mad Queen like nobody's business though

Personally I'd treat Peter Dinklage. It should not much to satisfy him given his size. Make his belly fully. I would delight at the prospect of treating him and serve him a plate of delicious char siu meat, with rich, sticky sauce, perfect pancakes, refreshing drinks... go all out. Give that lovely man a banquet. Watch him greedily devour the meat. His lips, teeth, and fingers sticky with the sauce as he throws manners and decorum out of the window in a mad rush to satiate himself. Then, when he's satisfied and feels thing can't be any better, I shall reveal he has not been feasting on char siu pork but... char siu kobe beef. Yes, I will have ensured Peter Dinklage greedily gobbled up the flesh of the best meat in the market after lowering his expectations initially. As the tears of joy well up in his eyes and he refuses to believe I went all out, I shall let out a truly merry, comforting laugh and upend the contents of a box I'll have near me; packacing and recipts of the kobe beef I purchased. Though the packaging and recipts will be scrunched up, faded, and a little dirty, it will be evidence of how much I wanted to give Dinklage a good meal. That is what I would do to that little gentleman. The louder he laughs and more thanks me in pure euphoria, the louder and more merry my laughter ofn appreciation will become. Hell, it may just kill me because I'll be struggling to breath as I'll be laughing and thanking him so hard. I will then show the 24 minute 7 seconds footage of me purchasing the kobe beef and having a funny encounter with the butcher, which we will laugh over. This is the fate that awaits you, you wonderful, beautiful little man. Also, fuck Warwick Davis. I'd starve him instead.

But he also killed the man who killed Jamie Lannister

I'll actually try to draw this when I come back home
Wait for few hours

Because it's the only time she ever fucking emotes. Stoic monotone Dany makes me want to get the Oberyn treatment.

Pretty sure Lena hated it

Just watched The Bells.

- Why does The Golden Company line up outside the walls?
- Tyrion lets Jaime go the night before so he can sneak into the city, but somehow he doesn't get there til the next morning. Howcome?
- Why can none of the scorpions fucking hit anything anymore?
- What was the point of the Cleganebowl? It meant nothing and achieved nothing.
- What was the point of Qyburn?
- What was the point of Jaime's arc?
- What was the point of any of it?
- Fuck.

Did you even read the post? It's 'no bully Peter. Bully midge Davis' the post.

Nikolaj doesn't love it lol read his interviews, he wanted Jaime to fuck off from Cersei for a long time and got into fights with dabid about it
not sure about lena
hound actor loved it because it didn't ruin his character's ending

>"hurr durr that's not snow it's ashes"
Fuck that!

Pilou probably stopped caring after how shoddy the Kingsmoot was. It was just an exercise in chewing the scenery after that.

I feel proud for provoking you to write such a beautiful description of Lena.

>Interviewer: How are you feeling, having watched the episode back?
>Pilou: Well, I'm going to be brutally honest: I haven't watched a single episode since season five.

>So I told them, "Guys, I'm not going to die." And they laughed: "Ha, that's funny." And I said, "No. I'm not going to close my eyes." And they said, "What do you mean?" I told them, "I'm going to keep my eyes open. I know you guys will have to cut away, and you will never see me die." I thought that was fun. Because of course I died, but you don't see it. Anyone would die from that wound; it's not just a flesh wound, like a Monty Python sketch.

oh.
i recognized the post from midge threads but i didn't see that it has a twist to it. nice.

I'm looking forward the ralphthemoviemaker's rant about s8.

In the scenario I'm thinking Tywin sides with Robert on the side and to seal the deal Jon Arryn gets Tywin's daughter and Robert's most trusted friend and general to marry instead of having Ned marry marry Cat. Or something along those lines, either way someone else gets married off to Cat to get the Tullys on Bobby B's side

bro turn your brain off.
I will not ask again.

Euron confirmed alive.
I can't wait for Euron to come back as Stannis' Master of Ships along with Littlefinger as his Master of Coin.

We'll have /tlng/ the long night general instead

Fucking based

>D&D: "Euron's actor was wanting to have a magical element to his character so we contacted the worlds expert on magical things : JK Rowling. We asked Rowling if there were any interesting magical details that she left out of her books. She said when dobby was a slave under lucius malfoy , he used to give him jobbys. This would give Lucius super human focus. So we then made a scene where missandei observes euron getting a jobby from dobby. That why euron was able to shoot down rhaegal. Of course we had to cut the scene out because the test viewers were very disturbed but we thought it was a really neat detail"

ASHARA PLEASE LET ME CUM IT'S BEEN A WEEK PLEASE

Attached: 1557850335865.jpg (1000x1414, 150K)

and jaime is one who should have, otherwise his whole arc is just boring.

>It's always difficult, because what is the reality of a show? Sometimes, the reality with Game of Thrones has been that it takes time for people to travel. Other times, you need to skip the reality and get from one place to another in the space of an episode. The reality of Euron Greyjoy is a fictional reality. It's a fantasy. It's a fantasy show. There are dragons, for crying out loud. If you want reality, watch The Wire, you know what I mean?

>I love both shows, but the premise for both shows is very, very different. You have to say, "What am I watching?" If I was playing a one-on-one, realistic dogma of acting, I would be on a different show. I thought it would be fun to do this over-the-top character, where you don't know if he's going to fuck you or kill you, pardon my French.

>We had already seen those archetype villains with Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and Ramsay (Iwan Rheon). How can you over that kind of evil? It's impossible. And in only five to ten scenes? It's impossible. We had to do something different with Euron Greyjoy. We had to give him swag, make him more rock-and-roll: "I'm just enjoying myself." When you discuss terrorism, there's often a political agenda, but you know what's the most frightening thing? Some people just want to see the world burn.

enough with this shit. do you honestly believe filling the white book with good deeds is what GRRM considers to be Jaime's purpose ?

>his whole arc is just boring
If you think about it, he didn't really have an arc. His "arc" was always a part of somebody else's story. You were only invested in it because he looks cool.

2 > 5 >>>> 4 > 1 >>>> 3

>If you want reality, watch The Wire, you know what I mean?
What do I watch if I want realistic fantasy? I thought that's supposed to be GoT

>I used to work at a kindergarten, and his kids were at that kindergarten. I was some kind of a nanny before I became an actor. So I've known Nikolaj for 20 years. We've done some work together in Denmark. He's been working very, very hard to get where he is now. All the success he's having now is so deserved. Regarding the fight, it was fun! It was Nikolaj's last scene. I had to do something with the scorpion a couple of weeks later, but it was wonderful to be there, as a fellow Dane, on the biggest show and being a part of that final day for Nikolaj on his final day of shooting.

>It's a decade for these guys. For me? I'm a tourist, and I mean that with the deepest respect for the show, but I haven't been a part of it since season one. I came on in season six. My job was different. My job was to make an impact with the things I got and then fuck off. But to be there with Nikolaj? It was very emotional — even though we Danes don't have emotions. But we got to kill each other. It wasn't just me. He died a little bit as well.

Is this real?

The one and only

Attached: myranda.jpg (425x514, 45K)

>His "arc" was always a part of somebody else's story
no not really, the writers just couldn't make their minds up about what to do with him. they kept making you think he'd become the POV character of the books, then after a few episodes just made him wrapped up in another character's story, rinse and repeat.

it was very relevant for jaime tho, some very important decisions he made were about becoming a hero

1: didn't watch, don't care about your favorite characters hugging
2: see 1
3: 1/10
4: 0/10
5: -10/10
that's in their quality. I still enjoyed the fuck out of the last three episodes, especially the last one, because everyone got so mad. ragging on the shit writing is so kino

Did even finish any other than 5, got bored and scrolled through the videos, been doing that since season 7. Ep 5 was the only that made me sit down and watch and I liked it a lot

There's dragons bruh, internal logic and consistency don't matter if there's dragons.

Don't forget that according to Pilou Euron should be more loyal to the book originals and be deep into black magic.

This is where the writers of the show went wrong

Honestly I would've been disappointed if he just rejected Cersei in the end. That's one thing about his character that can't be changed, if you change it, he's just a boring cunt

Peter Dinklage looks like a little man.
Warwick Davis looks like a prematurely ended attempt of cloning Gilbert Gottfried.

No, the point of that scene is jaime wants to be a better person despite himself.

It's not about the book, it's about being worthy of the book.

calling it now

2>5>1>4>3

Winterfell 6/10 meh
AKotSK 8/10 wouldnt be too out of place in the first seasons
The Short Evening 5/10 capeshit-tier
TLotS 6/10 dumb
The Bells 9/10 KINO and best episode since the end of S4

bloody hell if episodes 1 and 3 deserve a 5/10 then im curious what you’d give a 1/10

Based

why do you care?

Why does Nikolaj always have mini drink bottles

Do people actually like The Bells or is it just liked because of the normie tears?

>cohesive narrative
Sweatie you just expect tidy little character arcs, that's not the only way to do stories. Did Rob have a tidy little character arc? Stop expecting boring things. You're no different from seething femcels, you just want your husbando to win.

Robin will show up, but it'll be as part of a Council with the other Great Lords of Westeros to decide who sits the Iron Throne.
Littlefinger stopped existing as a character the moment he died.

the latter
it was average at best

The second episode was amazing enough I really forgot this was DnD. Got completely suckered in
Made the globino killsteal even worse.
I have lost all expectations now so I can't say for sure, but episode 5 was good too. Emilia was a highlight and it was decently shot. Arya even seemed okay

Normie tears, and Cleganebowl hype (which was disappointing in retrospect).

No I just want character arcs that are actually well written

you know there were actually 2 characters who had the "you can't change yourself" arc that you wanted in the last episode, why would you want another?

2. 1/10 more fillers that were absolutely useless
3. 8/10 fix the plot holes on your own and then it's good
4. 6/10 dragon death made no sense but betrayal intensifies
5. 8/10 rushed but fuck peasants she did nothing wrong

have rape

I have no fucking idea why normie showwatchers were hype for cleganebowl
like, what the fuck

>Winterfell: cringe jokes/10
>Knight: feels good, better reunions than the previous one, retroactively stripped of its meaningfulness by the next episode/10
>Long Night: basically a "fuck you" to anyone still watching this shit/10, probably the worst battle they ever made
>Last Starks: at least it isn't the long night/10
>Bells: has the right emotional beats and I'm grateful for the normie salt mining it provided/10

Heh, I like it because it's nihilistic like myself.

1/10 should be reserved for only the dumbest lowest shit there is, without any redeeming qualities, like Big Bang Theory.

Hardhome was better than all of those

John would have quit the NW sooner, Stannis would probably still be alive.

The worst part about Cersei's death to me was that it felt very out of character. She would have gone out kicking and screaming and fighting to stay alive because she's a huge narcissist.

Not having Euron crawl into the sea shouting 'what is dead may never die!" his blood blossoming in the salt water all around him, is the single biggest let down of this show.

>- What was the point of any of it?
Once they jobbed the Night King and Army of the Dead, not much. I remember having debates about what the mythos of ASoIaF and what the philosophical/metaphysical core of the whole thing is and other lorefags were skeptical because if you try to pull a muh subversion on that sort of stuff you just end up with a nihilistic, unsatisfying story. People feel betrayed. You can subvert the setup and elements of the journey all you want, but the ending/resolution is important.

There was some talk about it being an environmental metaphor which was definitely viable, but once Jon Snow reveal was confirmed, I was hyped for it just being The Hero's Journey / hidden king story again because that shit is cliche for a reason: it just works. His would just have a few early swerves and maybe some ending twists, but it'll be otherwise conventional.

Can we get an F for based Euron?

A bunch of US generals and admirals publicly came out against dropping the nuclear bombs. Not everyone supported it.

Now consider the population of Westeros. Dany killed something like 5% of the entire fucking population of Westeros for no reason after they surrendered (until D&D retcon it away like they did with 'half are gone' from ep4).

Yeah, it's not really comparable to nuking Japan, warfare was pretty different from modern times.

Not accepting the surrender of a city and destroying it to the ground was something that would happen in medieval times just fine, while in modern warfare we would abhor such a thing.

(cont.) It still may be a Hero's Journey / hidden king story and that's pretty much the best case scenario at this point, but jobbing the NK really really hurt the whole ASoIaF storyworld. The people who are invested are back to hoping GRRM finishes the books and that it turns out differently, but it doesn't look good from where i'm sitting. The fact that D&D found out the ending was >it's nothing and then lost even more interest just fits too perfectly.

If we have misdirection/subversion with Jon and he fucks off to the Wall or whatever, the series will indeed have Seinfelded itself: it will be about nothing. It will have been just a sexy, high-budget setpiece to showcase muh acting and political intrigue writing. The thing is, though, you can do that shit with a mini-series or like 3 seasons tops.

Attached: 1311311470680.jpg (248x252, 33K)

Goodness gracious she is adorable

Why didn't they just have Jon kill the Night King? It would have given Dany a far greater reason to fear him since the people will want to crown the hero of the war against the dead.

I joked about Euron killing Rhaegal all the way back before season 8 aired. It's not as funny/amazing as it turns out.

Anyway, kinda feel bad for Pilou. He and his role deserves better than being just a psycho Jack Sparrow.

Not really, only 3/god/blue/ui omen

>1:
6/10 - an exposition episode, which was mediocre but functional so exceptional by D&D standards
>2:
1/10 - another entirely expository episode in a season with no spare time to pad out, but nothing happened except cringeworthy fanfiction
>3:
4/10 - a battle whose progression made little sense and mattered even less - the big twist was of course absolutely terrible. A handful of okay moments involving Theon and the dragons/Jon were the exception to a shitty episode.
>4:
5/10 - Shitty logic but finally some decent character interactions. The second half of the episode was utterly shit, however.
>5:
Either 3/10 or 7/10, depending on whether you want to focus on it as actually subverting normie expectations, or failing to provide what they had built up. The visuals and atmosphere were superb, but the logic and story was appalling. Many actors gave it their all, but too many characters were ruined or wasted for it to be any good. I would have given it 10/10 if Arya had died.

Exactly. All though to be fair the appeal of Dragon ball after Z is to make new powerups, jump everyone up in strength and repeat the process next arc. It's simplicity in strong monkeys punching things harder is why it's so popular

>What was the point of any of it?
Whether or not it was successful, the point of The Bells is to underline the whole point of the story. GOT wasn't about fighting off a zombie apocalypse at all, it was a glimpse into the world of people who follow Tyrants. Dany told us she wanted to burn the city for 2 seasons before she just did it, before that she crucified thousands, before that she was manipulating her husband to rape and pillage innocent towns so she could achieve her power ambitions. The only reason you haven't seen more ruthlessness from Dany is that she's had such a huge advantage that she hasn't needed to resort to other drastic measures.
In a cleaver way, the show and books warp your perspective by gluing you to certain characters without giving you a real view of what's been happening geopolitically. When Dany's been doing these questionable things the story has always been ready to distract you with Joffrey, Ramsey or the Night King to trick you into a moral relativism mode of thinking. Before you know it, most viewers we asking "when's Dany going to bring her dragon's to fuck up Joffrey?" Never stoping to think what that meant, even though we all know what dragons do.
Dany's change is supposed to feel sudden, because this is the point that shatters our illusion. Characters like Joffrey had little point in the story other than to be the targets of our hate, so that we would follow her inspire of the warning signs, and the characters we like, Tyrion, Jon and co have fallen into the same trap. But The Bells is where we get off the ride, the viewer and main characters have been slapped in the face with the painful truth and all that's left is to pick up the pieces.
You can decide if it's successful or not yourself, but that's what this episode tried to do, and the whole story would be pretty cheap if Dany had a gradual on screen transition from good to evil.

IS THAT YOU JON SNOW?

IS THIS ME?

Why did Mr. Targaryen kill everybody?

Because if Arya wasn’t going to kill Cersei or the night king she would have had nothing else of consequence to do and her entire assasin arc would have no point at all, unless she ends up killing Danny which she won’t. Jon still has another arc, which is that he is the true heir to the throne

This.

>Do you think the Mountain follows the same rules as wights?

Mountain is more of the creature of the conventional dark magic and necromancy, sort of similar to Lady Stoneheart in the books minus the Rh'lor.

Wights are, pretty much, puppets controlled by Night King's will.

>Not beating her teeth into splinters while she fucked the Moonboy.
