It's okay but eventually gets it's head stuck up its own ass. First season was okay but it just degraded into lol so randumb humor with tumblr-tier nihilism.
All the memes about it are true. It's a show for fake intellectuals to feel smart.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

When it's good, it's really good, but when it's bad, it's really bad
S1 is good, S2 is a shitshow with a couple of good episodes, S3 swings wildly from hilarious to unwatchable

First two seasons are very good, but you can feel it start to suck towards the end of S2 as the writers convince themselves they’ve made interesting characters that produce compelling drama. Unfortunately they did not. Watch it anyway it’s good until then.

Yea Forums thought it was the greatest thing for the first season but now it gets hate because it's popular. The first season is decent and the rest is watchable but meh

the reddit answer is yes, therefore the non-reddit answer must be no. It's relatively watchable, catchphrase memes like wubba lubba dub dub and pickle rick don't make a good impression. The plot pacing is very samey:

If a couple of pretentious loner college freshman got high for the first time ever and wrote a script, then gave the script to a producer who wanted to market it to 10 year olds, this is the show you'd get.

The jokes are basically lol so random. The science references are really just college 101 courses.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up the state of the show. It was cute for the first season, not so much now.

First season is good.
Second season is okay.
Third season is meh.

yes. good humor, creative adventures, and some well done themes of existentialism and nihilism woven throughout. I’d give it a solid 8.5

Ya it’s pretty decent

It's okay. First season's pretty great, season 2 and beyond are hit/miss but watchable.

S2/S3:3/10 to 6/10 depending on the episode.

also, Rick potion number 9 and the ricklantis mixup are probably some of the best episodes of modern sci-fi

First season was good enough to watch it after lowering your IQ with the intoxication of your choice.
Quality dropped hard after the first season.
Fanbase became so obnoxious that a normal person wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot cattle prod.
It's a Harmon show anyway, so it automatically dies mid season 2 and only exists in zombiemode from there on.

I think its pretty funny. I brushed it of for a Long Time because tv Said it sucked. But it is pretty Good. But Ricks nihilism can be pretty cringey sometimes

Season 1 and 2 were good, season 3 was meh, it's been gone that long I honestly forgot about it, and i'm not too inclined to see if when it does get eventually released. the fans are fucking terrible.
