I beg to differ. It was another soulless piece of shit. Say what you want about Rob Zombie - at least he had an actual vision.
What vision? You mean missing the whole point of Myers? Giving a ambiguous character like The Shape a a trailer trash backstory
Yep. And the first one was actually mostly good for what is was.
It was good, but this is true. It was more Jason than Myers.
>I beg to differ. It was another soulless piece of shit.
hmm starting off good. You can debate whether it is soulless or not
>Say what you want about Rob Zombie - at least he had an actual vision.
oof and then you completely invalidated your entire post
a week ago when i saw this same thread i told you that burning is the best movie of 2018
Soulless? Are you kidding, that one long take of Mikey walking through the neighborhood was better than anything in those piece of shit Rob Zombie flicks
>vision
KEK!
Music too. Carpenter shouldn’t got an Oscar
No, I mean the lighting and cinematography which was unironically fantastic. Rob Zombie can't write a movie for shit, but he certainly knows how to shoot one. Watch Lords Of Salem.
beginning is shit, middle with his killing spree is great, ending is shit and dragged on far too long
His filming comes off like his music videos
Rob Zombie's problem is that as his writing got shittier and shittier, his filmmaking techniques got better and better. Everything evened out with Devil's Rejects. Since then, the scripts have been getting worse, but the movies are more technically well made.
How does the ending drag on too long? The movie is a little over an hour and a half.
>His filming comes off like his music videos
It did with House of 1000 Corpses, but Halloween 2 and Lords Of Salem are two of the most beautiful looking horror movies of the 21st century. I don't care if you laugh since it's Rob Zombie. It's objectively true. He channeled prime Argento with those.
she spends like 30 minutes searching upstairs for him, shit got boring after the 3rd room
I couldn't even remember where I saw this. Extremely forgettable.
They look good but come on, they're pure dog shit beyond that.
I agree they're narratively shitty, but name a better looking horror movie of the last 15 years.
>inb4 Mandy
>Dish is currently beefing with HBO so I'm forced to pirate it
This
best soundtrack of the series
Let me guess

Other than that, all the standounds are the same pieces as the first three, which have consistently far more greater music.
jason > michael
test
Halloween always has that kind of pacing though
