Marvel vs DC

At what point did you realize that DC is better?

Doom Patrol is awesome go watch it lads.
DC has better characters and has Vertigo for the more out there stories.

When I was a kid I liked Marvel because I liked reading the comics that "weren't so iconic"

Never because they're full of pretentious zoomer shit.

being a marvel fanboy is the most zoomer thing you can do btw

>says the dude who was in a marvel movie

and he would probably be in a DC movie if given tons of cash

Disney slanders DC kino while simultaneously buys their own movie tickets.

Im 32 years old. I remember watching the incredible hulk in my first year of uni and it was like every other trash Marvel film. Then Iron-man came out and the Big Bang theory and suddenly the MCU is the greatest cinematic achievement since 2001.

It took the worst elements out of comic books (for nerds) and combined them with essentially a "Transformers" mentality of explosions one-off villains and quips.

Its kinda sad, because Sin City, 300, Batman Begins, TDK and Watchmen (DC) showed us in what great direction capeshit was heading.

Now we got a neutered trash DCEU that tries to imitate the MCU and an MCU that has worse CGI and effects that films that came out 10 years ago. Not to mention terrible, non-sensical stories for children and YA.

I watched the Shazam rip and it was literally a MCU film that wasnt part of the MCU. Its identitcal in recipe, dialogue and lighting.

DC and Marvel are both dogshit. I miss the Nolan capeshit days.

2013 when Man of Steel released

>I watched the Shazam rip and it was literally a MCU film that wasnt part of the MCU. Its identitcal in recipe, dialogue and lighting.
Because it's low budget intended for kids. But it had soul, which the MCU lacks.

Seething

I like both. Except Snyder's films

Im not saying I dont enjoy the occasional quip-fest. I laughed a few times during Shazam, but by the time the inevitable fight came around I zoned out and started reading things.

The problem is not that these films arent enjoyable. The problem is that these films are (as you said) for children, when arguably the comic book genre its based on has some very good stories and characters made for the screen. What retards called "edgy" or "dark", I call "adult".

Thats why Watchmen (DC) and Man of Steel were excellent films. They had some very interesting ideas and themes that made you think. BvS less so and had alot of problems in casting. Then Whedon's Justice League was deplorably horrible.

Meanwhile the MCU has yet to release a single film that stands alone, or has some actually interesting cinematic concepts/ideas/themes.

BvS onwards was trash, but Shazam was great.

TDK and Watchmen are made for kids who want to be adults

I know you thought that sounded clever, but its the same old bullshit spouted by contrarians.

it's the truth

"Truth" might mean something different to you then. Go troll elsewhere.

When they got rid of snyder

based

Avengers 1. It was especially jarring right off the Dark Knight era.

when I realized every single x-men movie is going to be about muh dark pheonix. At least DC gave us batman:TAS and JL

Never. DCEU is fucking dogshit.

The Winter Soldier, Civil War

this but unironically
where is Marvel's black female superhero if they care so much about representation?

>gay latino
Where did you get the impression he was gay?

This, but WS moreso than Civil War.

when Swamp Thing comes out in 3 weeks or whatever.

>actor does his job for money
wow holy shit, no way

I think it might be a forced Yea Forums meme or a misunderstanding of a scene in the movie.

When he went into the titty bar and said it wasn't his thing

Batman V Superman

unironically

Was he not talking about the music not being his thing?

it was right after Darla said the music was good
he's just not a strip club music fan that's all

Winter soldier was a terrible film without a conclusion. Its just an episode of a soap opera.

more like a Bourne by Robert Ludlum novella

shazam korean stuttershit release is up btw if someone is interested :)
i'm waiting for the BR release personally

I don't like Marvel outside of a couple core characters (and only when they're written by specific people). But I was a bonafide DCfag until the new-52 rolled along. They haven't put out anything good since then, not even the movies.

When they dropped their original identity and just decided to do Marvel but with a bigger budget and shittier jokes

Having said that, Shazam was pretty great. It's been a while since we had a simple wholesome superhero movie about being heroic and saving people
