Fuck you Yea Forums I just wanted a happy ending of her ending on the throne, maybe even with jon. I'm not even a Dany fan, always found her story the most boring form season 1-6.
Fuck you Yea Forums I just wanted a happy ending of her ending on the throne, maybe even with jon...
>Fuck you Yea Forums
None of us here is reponsible for that 180°
"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."
They literally spelled it out for people years ago and they're still shocked.
a true Queen can make some mistakes. even a Queen can make mistakes..
This is heavy....
I didn't want a happy ending, I would have been happy with Dany going mad and being killed if it had been done in a way that made sense and wasn't rushed.
You realize that Jon is gonna kill her right?
Oh and she will kill tyrion before that incase you didnt see that coming.
>always found her story the most boring form season 1-6
That's exactly it you fucking retard. A story of a HERO who keeps winning like a Mary Sue is boring. A story of a VILLAIN who keeps winning is fun, it builds him up as a menace. That's why Dany going ebil retroactively made her arc interesting.
Everything was rushed in the past two seasons but you femcels only complain about Dany. Makes one think
Yeah, Game of Thrones should have had a happy ending. It's a silly show about dragons and ice zombies. Anyone who brings up some notion of that "not being realistic" is genuinely very stupid.
Finally felt like true GoT
True to everyone's character.First four eps were pure trash.
This one was gold.
This, why do retards think Jaime was on a redemption arc. His arc was about him not being able to break the connection to Cersei. Literally how else could it end. There was never any redemption for this retard
>I love shit writing and OWNING the libs true to everyones character libs got PWNED and OWNED felt like true got with the SJWs getting PWNED
True GOT = making the viewer feel like a piece of shit and a fool for watching it?
To hell with that, and that was never the goal of the show early on. Game of Thrones is not a horror movie.
>feel like a fool
If you didn't see it coming after she literally says she will rule through fear then you are a fucking fool. Pay attention
This is a TV show /poltard, not your nigger reality show chit chat thread
His redemption was breaking away from Cersei and her influence on him. He did lots of terrible things for her and in the name of his family
The redemption arc would have been more apparent if the show had Jaime going through the Riverlands post RW, but instead he went to Dorne with his zaney friend Bronn to fight the sand sneks
t. seething femcel
>happy ending
Watching fags like you bitch and moan makes suffering through the last 3 seasons actually worth it.
The ending really should have been Jon and Dany getting married while all the other good guys look on, followed by a great feast with drinking and merriment. BUT with a subtle undertone that all may not be right with Dany's sanity, that Sansa is probably secretly plotting, that Arya has gone full facelessman and her allegiances may not even in those of Westeros itself anymore, and the whole icky notion that yes Dany is pregnant with Jon's incest baby.
A happy ending but also one that perverts the usual. And the final shot can be one long lingering shot of snow falling on the unmanned broken Wall, with the ominous subtext made clear that Winter is still coming.
I kinda feel bad for the deluded showfags, they always knew the show has been garbage deep down but stuck with it hoping it would be worth it in the end, like a battered housewife that predictably ends up beaten to death. Of course they should've seen the truth but still sad nonetheless
Stolen from Umineko word for word.
cause everything a character says has to happen? ever heard of this thing called character development? plots?
He was redeemed, but he was also just a sick man. He held on as long as he could and helped save the world, and when that was done he let his sickness take him.
Azor Ahai was also supposed to kill the Night King.
Didn't happen because this is a show about an ongoing story, not about fulfilling prophecies, even though there are many people who think it is.
Horror?
Everyone did whatever their characters would have done.
>Northmen turning into rapist youtube.com
>Dothrakis and unsullied slaying innocents
>Daenerys burning everyone
>Clegane dying by burning
What else do you want?
10/10
>plots?
Yeah, what did you think her plot was? That she would be a YAS QUEEN? That would make the entire mainland storyline meaningless. Ever since 2 sides were introduced it was obvious that the only way this story could come together and feel meaningful is if those 2 sides clashed in the end. It wasn't clear who would be a villain but gradually things started to point to Dany being the ebil one. If you didn't see it coming, you're dumb. The only scenario in which Dany could've been a YAS QUEEN and the plot still worked is if zombies killed everyone else but that would've been a cliched as fuck Tolkien style ending.
As dumb as Arya killing Night King was, I think it didn't change the general course of the story. The long night has been a diversion set up by the hack George unfortunately. But what it ultimately did is it united the continent, now that united force will face the real villain. In a stealthy low key kind of way that was the point of the zombie storyline
Writing the entire scenario at all is a mistake. It's not about what the characters would have done. The characters do what the writers put them in the position to do.
Daenerys is only the real villain now because she has been written to be so. Which she should not have. The direction the show was going up until very recently was just a climactic battle for the fate of the world against the Night King and the White Walkers. Because that was what really mattered. To end the show back squabbling about petty warring houses and queenships is bad writing. Especially if it results in the deaths of massive amounts of people and the character assassination of one of the beloved characters in the series.
And do not give me any more shit about any "foreshadowing" that Dany was going to turn mad because shows and books do this ALL THE TIME with heroes who are "on the edge". It's no different from someone like Luke Skywalker having to resist the temptation of the dark side. Were people complaining about the ending of Return of The Jedi when Luke didn't fully turn even though it was foreshadowed all through TESB and ROTJ? No, of course not. Because that would have sucked.
if it's not about prophecies then why bother introducing them and making sure multiple characters fit the criteria? Why would it matter so much that Jon is the son of ice and fire?
>inb4 "it's called game of thrones, it's about the throne"
For me, it was a good scenario and setting.
This is what truly happens in a war.
Would have agreed to your point, if it was some Disney movie.
GRRM uses them to lead readers to thinking one way and thing will happen, and then something happens that sort of fulfills this but also does it in a way the viewer doesn't expect. A plot twist. D&D try to do the same. Sometimes prophecies are mentioned that have no real relevance to the story as a way to fill out the story setting and serve as red herrings.
Some people out there in the world, I've heard there's quite a few of them, find this sort of thing entertaining.
>This is what truly happens in a war.
it's REaLiSiTiC
I'm pissed Bronn didn't get the castle right off the bat for that.
He did exactly what his job entailed, by now he's racked up like 2.5 castles in interest
>And do not give me any more shit about any "foreshadowing" that Dany was going to turn mad
You dumb brainlet, like I said, it's not about the foreshadowing, it's about the structure of the story.
The ONLY two satisfying endings to this story are Dany vs Zombies and Dany vs Everyone. And Dany vs Zombies would've been too Tolkien.
You heard right, a good red herring would be Dany's story, for example. She fits most criteria for the Azor Ahai prophecy, we're introduced to her at a very early point in her story so we can grow attached to her and identify with her motives, until the point we realize that she's becoming the very thing she sought out to destroy, and that another character actually fit the story.
Don't tell me that Jon and Dany's whole arc about being the prince/princess who was promised, born of aerys's line, the whole reason why we give a shit about who Rhaegar and Lyanna were was a red herring for the "YOU'LL SHUT BLUE EYES" prophecy.
>good red herring would be Dany's story
Yes making literally half a show completely pointless would be VERY COOL
This is quite happy to me
you're right, making the white walkers arc a side quest was the coolest shit ever
>She fits most criteria for the Azor Ahai prophecy,
no
>until the point we realize that she's becoming the very thing she sought out to destroy
and no
I'd like to talk about the actual show please.
>all these people saying the show is rushed.
Why was this? HBO would have been happy to keep this gravy train going until cast members started dying of old age.
Why did they decide to cram everything into two seasons?
It may be a side quest, but it did unite the continent. Now we just need that united force to face the mad queen and then the whole story will come together in an unexpected but very coherent way which is exactly what you want
fine, why do you think she doesn't fit it?
Btw, the show didn't do a clear enough job of showing her going full conqueror mode, but the signs were there
>Which she should not have
She's clearly George's hidden final boss
>do not give me any more shit about any "foreshadowing"
seething brainlet
>muh onions wars
kek
or they could have gone in the direction the show and books seemed to be going:
have these kings and queens wage war between themselves and Dany winning via Mad Queen while the real threat breaks the wall and actually makes it past Winterfell, close the Azor Ahai plot by having Dany wanting to burn everything down and Jon having to kill her to forge lightbringer and use it to kill the WW. World is saved but at a huge cost and with bitter consequences
garbage
the azor ahai prophecy had already been "subverted" with stannis and his depressing unraveling, to do that again and make the entire thing pointless is just bad storytelling
So the only thing you want to change is the length of the night and the one who kills the NK
Such a twat.Your pea sized brain can't even think of words to reply with.
That's not an ending, it's a cliffhanger
this. but danyfag and self inserting roastie tears are a big plus aswell
we wanted to see the bad guys burned and then everyone celebrating, you know, how war is supposed to happen, the good guys pwning the evil ones and so on. thats what history is about (except for the crusades, that was the greatest unprovoked genocide like ever)
I was not a Dany fan until this episode. Ever since this show got stupid I was hoping she was just gonna fucking roast everything and everyone. At least give us a big boom since the the show is beyond repair. I got what I wanted. Dany is based as fuck and I will be sad to see her go.
FUCK KINGS LANDING
FUCK THE STARKS
FUCK THE SMALL UNGRATEFUL FOLK
Rape an murder is back on the menu.
Plus I was am a Jamie fag and his ending was kino despite what the redemption and Brienne fags would have you believe. I am happy so far.
>greatest unprovoked genocide like ever
>crusades
Wow, okay, hi there Hitler apologist. Yeah exterminating 6 million innocent Jews was no big deal in comparison. Asshole.
Anyone unsatisfied with Game of Thrones must now consider start watching anime as a primary source of entertainment.
tldr: anime is better.
Normies should stick to capeshit.
This is ridiculous.
Dany is still a hero.
Fuck the white cave people of Westeros.
The Melanated people of Essos and the Dothraki are going to populate those lands.
Demographics are destiny.
It was going to happen in the books too
Aegon was going to take over and execute Cersei or she would flee back to Casterly Rock. With the support of probably the Tyrells and maybe the Martells, Aegon will take the throne and the people will love him. Then in comes Dany with a Dothraki horde, her slave army, and 3 Dragons
They were 100% going to burn Kings Landing to the ground to establish Dany is in charge now, and you better get on your knee for her or she'll burn your city too. It could have been done in the show too, but they never set it up correctly
Once an SJW always an SJW. It always ends with the thing they wanted control of burning to the ground.
Because outside of rushed pacing and sloppy writing, which ar etheir own things - nothing else is needed to fix the structure of the story.
>Implying that winning side never committed war crimes
In war no one is good or bad.
The one who wins writes the history(just look at how the world treats hitler as the bad guy and completely neglects the killing of innocents by the allies)

Before you quote me with some autistic pic, forgot to remove that last line
Sorry, user. It was always going to end this way. She's shown to be bloodthirsty and ruthless in the past. You can argue that those she killed deserved it, but now her killing innocents is out of character. But since coming to Westeros, Dany has:
>lost her oldest adviser, Jorah
>lost her only girl friend, Missandei
>lost two of her dragon children
>learned that her claim - the entire basis of life since season 1 - is weaker than Jon's
>had her feelings rejected by Jon
>had members of her own inner circle turn against her in favor of Jon's claim
She's pretty much been left alone. While Jon has the love and support of everyone in Westeros, and a stronger claim to the Iron Throne than she has. Her only option, as she outright spells out for the audience, is to rule by fear to prevent another Varys coming along and trying to place Jon on the throne.
That's not an ending though, that's a cliffhanger for another season.
I'm sure she'll repent next episode and express her incredible remorse at her actions
j/k she'll rationalize her behavior and Jon will be forced to kill her
I'm 100% behind Dany being the final boss. Things have been going too well for the good guys. They barely lost anyone to the White Walkers and Kings Landing. I would have changed a few things though.
Missandei dying is not a good enough reason for her to go mad. I think Drogon should have gotten hit by a bolt during the fighting(just a flesh wound) and Dany being a protective mother for her last "son" would fly into a rage to kill everyone responsible.
When Dany does start burning everyone, I would have had her fly straight for the red keep and burn that first. It would have moved up Jaime and Cersei's death, and cleganebowl but events can still play out the same just in a different order. She flies to the red keep and destroys it, causing the Lannister soldiers to pick up their swords again. Then in the frenzy she starts spreading fire to the rest of the city. It just doesn't make sense for her to slowly burn the outskirts of the city and slowly make her way in to her real target.
And lastly, an alternate way for things to go down, Dany could have made an attempt on Jon's life. In a "if I can't have him, no one can" kind of way and making sure the only challenge to her throne is removed. He would of course get away and flee back to Winterfell which would set up for the final fight. I think a little backstabbing has been sorely missed in the show recently.
FUCK ALL OF YOU DANY WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY GOOD PERSON IN GAME OF THRONES, she freed slaves she cared about the people, she only crucified evil people all the fucking Lannisters are evil... Game of Thrones has always been about Good vs Evil just like Star wars and Dany was literally the most good and just and moral person in the show and they randomly make her evil? fuck this shit youre all stupid assholes
normies got on board around season 4
Suddenly everyone here acts like they've always knows what was gonna happen this episodes, where were you guys the last few weeks? Could have told us earlier
The only reason Yea Forums suddenly praises the episodes and justifies it is because it triggered the normies and femcels. If the normies would have liked this turn of events everyone here would hate it. Why is every board here full of eternal contrairians?
Next week it's revealed that this was all a plot from Danny, so she could sacrifice herself by being killed by Jon, so he can become the savior king who already has support with the people. It's going to be the exact same ending as Code Geass Season 2.
lol, normalfags calling younger normalfags normies
