I was caught off guard that it was the last episode since I didn't read that beforehand. I'm surprised they rushed through it like that.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus beautiful hot sexy.
mommy ;_;
Gary on the left there...
Yeah, pretty cruel ending
I was very surpriswd they destroyed her character like that. Having her nuke Russia like that seemed very out of character.
overall a very good finale for me. i didnt think theyd be able to tie up all their loose ends, but it worked pretty well. selena losing everyone she trusts to become president is the right way for the series to end. plus the time skip scene at the end was perfect.
rip veep. kino forever
A fitting ending. This is a great show that gradually become garbage. So yeah, it's better this way. Bye Selina ...
who watches this schlop?
Same. I guess GoT's $90 million 7 episode season cost too much for us to get any more Veep, I actually think the last season was stronger than the last few.
I liked it, esp the hatchet man farewell and Kent's outburst at Selina's decision to make Jonah her vp
Dan's treatment of Amy disgusted me, maybe it's just because I've spent the last 20 years crushing HARD on Anna Chlumsky, then they put her in all these extremely flattering form fitting dresses in the show too.
The season was fairly weak overall, but the finale was great. Splett for President.
don't cry, mommy! mommy doesn't cry!
We couldn't have asked for better.
They actually managed to make the last episode funny and give it the scope a finale needs.
Gary's sendoff at the coffin was beautiful
I don't know what the fuck is wrong with the cunts who keep saying it went downhill. The last few seasons of veep have been fantastic, probably better than the start.
>schlop
go to bed fido
i want more pictures of her coffin fucking her library
Do you like Seinfeld?
Do you like other HBO comedies?
Do you like Iannucikino like The Death of Stalin?
This show was in my top comedy series of all time until these past two seasons. I'm just going to pretend like they didn't happen and that David Mandel didn't fail upwards into his gigs after ruining every project he's touched.
I don't like women
he showran the last 3 seasons of veep though
and he became an EP on curb and is credited with co-story or whatever on every episode on season 8, which is one of the best, Palestinian chicken, Larry vs Michael J Fox etc. Plus directing some of 6 and 7.
I agree the end of Seinfeld when he came on wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible, and it's really more LD leaving than him coming in.
You've gotta say that this guy who has worked so much on Curb & Seinfeld obviously will have picked up a lot. And I think the last few seasons of Veep have been really unfairly maligned. They were great.
5 was good because it was running on the steam of the previous four and the team still had some of the original writers. Once season 5 came around and the last of the old guard left, everything fell off substantially. The characters are no longer subtle archetypes of real people in DC but are now vessels for cheap, crude one liners that were made funny in previous seasons by their context and usage. The new characters are worn out joke machines devoid of any characteristic or humanity that could still be found in even the worst DC wonk. The past two seasons admittedly had their moments in between the writers beating you over the head with a brick and calling it humor.
Once season 6 came around*
Oh fuck i thought there was one more.
But what an episode, genius on so many levels. Mike gets an amazing new job and lucks out for once. When Jonahs wife was feeling up the security agent at the funeral I couldn't stop laughing. The look on Amy's face when Dan is going out with the woman who performed her abortion was just mmmm. They packed a lot in. Here's hoping the writing team get on to something good new ASAP
Do you like Succession?
That's Jessie Armstrong who was one of the original writers.
I tuned into the fibale a bit late. All those scenes of Russians dying of radiation poisoning from the bomb were harsh. I thought this used to be a comedy.
pffftt there's nothing wrong with unsubtle jokes and a comedy which isn't nuanced political commentary
It just has to be funny, it's not like the jokes are bad, and they kept the fantastic timing.
Another way to look at it aswell, is that the show changed post-trump because they had to make the show more silly than real life.
Glory glory holeaelujah!
>I think we last saw each other when your wife was being born
Dan the Man
Nah Death of Stalin wasn't funny to me. Reminded me of The Favorite how it's shot in a sophisticated way so people ignore the jokes being poorly crafted.
that was so sad. really bummed me :\
