ITT, we imagine if Tywin was still alive, how would he have with the Targaryen threat? Remember in Season 4 he was already planning for the inevitable confrontation

1000 scorpian launchers in key hidden positions and on the castle itself.

He would try to convince Braavos to attack her for some reason, but that would be too much manipulation for him and it would bite him in the ass. Plus funding Sons of the Harpy

Also, no High Sparrow, Tyrells kept relatively loyal, Myrcella and Tommen still alive

Some of them would probably shoot chained bolts in case the dragon is close

yup Tywin doesn't fuck around and always wins.

He would have left Cersei for herself and went to Castley Rock and waited it out like Roberts Rebellion. Tywin wasn’t one for taking risks a

Assassins.
He'd send a bunch of assassins to murder the top generals and Dany herself.
Faceless men will kill Missandei long before anyone suspect and pose as her for the past 3 seasons as she works to undermine Dany's rule and twist Greyworm's loyalties.

>Remember in Season 4 he was already planning for the inevitable confrontation
No he wasn't, he told Joffrey that it was of no concern and severely downplayed the importance. It was one of the rare moments when Joffrey was right and Tywin was completely mistaken.

He did send Jorah the pardon that got him exiled, but that was all

You can't afford multiple faceless men. The whole point is that they demand a price that is exorbiant to you. They don't care about absolute value, you have to really really want it.

You don't have to use faceless men, you bribe a general of theirs with highgarten to kill Dany. You think like a pleb.

>No he wasn't, he told Joffrey that it was of no concern and severely downplayed the importance. It was one of the rare moments when Joffrey was right and Tywin was completely mistaken.
shut up faggot,he spoke about Daenerys with Oberyn

That post specifically mentions faceless men, retard.

Honestly he wouldn't have been able to do shit. Even if we assume all his allies stayed in power and actually joined the fight, a Lannister-Tyrell-Bolton-Frey alliance would still be curbstomped by the 3 Dragons, Unsullied, 100k Dothraki,Dorne and Greyjoys. All of Tywin's allies were fickle and cowardly and would most likely not have been down for a "fight to the death" against 3 dragons

>more scorpions, like a fuckton more and not just on the bloody walls, I'd devote half my fucking GDP to the production of anti-dragon weapons
>cover up the scorpions with camouflage until she's with range
>use smoke screens and diversions where possible
>outer parts of city booby trapped with wildfire to annihilate majority of Dany's ground forces
>huge barricades built up in the streets, fighting house to house (think Caesar in Alexandria)
>hire every assassin in the world to try to kill her
>marksmen with longbows on the walls whose sole purpose is to try to shoot her off the back of the dragon
>spread out the iron fleet a lot more, they shouldn't be in formation for a naval battle
>send Lannister equivalent of special forces to Dragonstone beforehand to try to trap her in her own

It depends entirely on whether the writers decide to make magically overpowered scorpions like they did in episode 4 or if the scorpions pose the same kind of threat to dragons that they do in the books (which is practically none at all).

If it's the former, then Tywin doesn't even need to be smart to win. Just stick a couple of those anti-aircraft heat-seeking missiles on every castle and he wins.

OPs doesn't retard. And yes, assassination is what he'd likely do, just not with faithless men. He did it before at the red wedding.

I don't see why Tywin couldn't orchestrate the hiring of faceless men via a proxy while obfuscating it was him who hired them.
He's execute more complex plans in the past.
Sure if he directly hired one they'd ask for maybe three times the worth of Casterly Rock, but there's no reason why he couldn't hire someone in Essos that comes up with a sob story about Dany murdering his family to hire a faceless man to have her executed. Maybe even an ex-slaver.

>ywn celebrate shirtless Ramsay shooting down Drogon and the Twenty Good Men annihilatingg the Dothraki with your r/Dreadfort bros

why even live

damn youre right nvm

fuck off, I don't accept your apology

He would have married Daenerys to keep the peace while assuring House Lannister's continued power and legacy.

or Ned
or Bobby B
or Stannis

D&D successfully showed that when women rule, chaos and death prevail. It's almost the moral of the story of GoT now.
