I think of it as the Gonzo Porn aesthetic. Orange-skinned, rubbery, fake lips, West Hollywood / Orange County, botox, fake tits, etc.

What I don't get is how people so obsessed with their image and looking beautiful do this 'bog' thing to themselves. Surely there are more subtle, effective treatments and strategies to look good.

Her people tried really hard to have that image removed from the internet. In a way, I think what really distinguishes Beyonce and Taylor Swift is not in them being good artists, but being really good at managing their PR. Always looking gorgeous, always pleasing the crowd, always saying the right thing and making social media and journalists praise them.

I think of them as 'clickbait' entertainers, related to the woke / empowerment aesthetic. It trucks in a combination of photogenic flawlessness and ostentatious righteousness, but it's so calculated and superficial I can't help but despise it.

I think a difference in aesthetic between Beyonce / Taylor Swift and these trashier Kardashian types is that Beyonce and Taylor are marketing to a more middlebrow, middle class world, and to progressive journalists, whereas Kardashian / Chyna are marketed more to the Walmart / supermarket line crowd and 'da street'.
