The latter.

first season is kino, but it's the whole book so just stop watching afterwards.

Someone post Norm Macdonald ripping this shit apart on twitter

>yas queen slay cannot possibly be good
I suppose you are what is commonly known as a "fanatic".

Good concept but it focuses on women living subjugated lives and that's it, I stopped watching when the main ones tries to leg it and fails

Book was fun. Never saw the show.

It's femcel fodder

It is very Islamophobic, and therefore problematic.

this

Not even during humanities darkest hours, in the worst societies this has happened.

>What is Islam

I know of only women that watch this show, so that's a red flag already.

Whenever the book was written it might've had some relevance, but considering the period the TV show is being made in, all it comes across as is fourth wave feminist fearmongering.

Islamists take wives. They don't take women as literal objects (though they do rape a lot).

better read this.

It's a shit show based off of a shit 1984 ripoff replaced with muh oppressed women.

These people think restricting abortion is the same as systemic rape

Funny how wishing for The Handmaid's Tale to become real is the only thing incels and feminists can agree on.

Islamophobic as fuck

It's oppression porn for privileged first world women who have never felt actual hardship. They get off to this shit.

Pretty apt

It's a torture and humiliation porn

Idk but every time a political issue comes up that even barely involves women femcels protest in their costumes from the show and that makes me hate it.

Like someone else said, the first season is decent (at least entertaining) but it turns to shit in the second season

>we need to worry about Christians oppressing women!
Consider how out of touch with reality you need to be to sincerely believe this.

Why does it have to have happened? It's speculative fiction. Ignoring the author's stupid views, the show is at least entertaining and gives an interesting idea. If the world was running out of fertile women, what would happen? I don't think it's such a crazy idea to think they'd be rounded up and forced to procreate

ATWOOD A SHIT
MUNRO IS GOAT

And you expect the men who won't even see a hair of these women to take it in silence? Men would kill each other until the numbers match again. Men won't stand for sharing either.

THIS

Yikes, Old MacDonald's losing it

>and you expect the men who aren't in power to just take it?
What a stupid argument. Of course there are men who are upset about it but what the fuck can they do? The people who are in charge have more military strength

It's written well enough to get you to keep watching but yeah it's garbage. Guilty pleasure shit. I bet the female audience gets wet over all the rape scenes.

Black Pilled rips it apart

I'll let you reflect on what you just said for a bit.

Women get to simultaneously be an oppressed minority and a valuable commodity. It's not hard to see why women gravitate to it.

great argument pal

The book really was terrible. Only really works as a take-down of Islamic attitudes to women, but it instead has the gall to pretend that harems are a puritanical Protestant idea.
Lives of Girls and Women is one of the best books I've ever read.

>Men won't stand for sharing either.
and yet here we are

Gilead is unironically based and redpilled, look at how civilized and decent America becomes once the subhuman gender is placed back into the kitchen.

Is it seriously a dystopian future where white women are FORCED to have white children?

It's a dystopian vision that criticizes Christians by having them act like Muslims.
