When I was in school I was short, black, and skinny so people (mostly white guys btw i'm from the south) would always fuck with me relentlessly as some petty dominance thing. Every single time they would get out of line and take things too far I would simply hit them in the face... it didn't matter if I won or lost the fight they stop fucking with you the next day.
