is just people coming up with shitty justifications for why the episode was great. I can buy the whole "it makes people mad but the writing is still shit" angle but that's pretty much it. Anyone that tries to make the writing look anything but awful in the same episode that concluded Jaime's character arc the way it did, had Drogon dodge countless of scorpions when they were previously incredibly destructive and accurate and went for 3 death fake-outs within the span of 10 minutes on Arya doesn't deserve to get the benefit of the doubt on how they handled the face-heel turn of Daenerys. Oh yeah and the golden company was like 500 guys apparently. It was overall as badly thought out and dumb as episode 3. I already suspected that season 8 would most likely be a dumpsterfire after season 7 aired, I never expected it to be worse than my lowest expectations yet here we are. And it really doesn't help if some retards start shitting up the board with their asinine explanations of how all this crap suddenly makes sense because it totally pwned those tumblr whales. I don't disagree with that, people can be hypocritical about what constitutes as bad writing if it ends up being compatible with their sociopolitical beliefs. However, none of this should matter to people that discuss the episode on Yea Forums based on the writing alone. There is much more nuance to the quality of writing that goes beyond what type of controversy it can cause.
