In episode 4, when Jaime was speaking to Brienne, the speech was so over the top and a blatant disregard of his character development he received in the books and partly in the show that I thought he was just saying that to get her to hate him so he could leave. It turns out that he was 100% serious. Jaime's character is back in the same place that he was at the beginning of the series. He didn't develop over the course of 8 years of the show. I am also confused why D&D promote Cersei's and Jaime's relationship so much. The whole point (in the books at least) is that it's a toxic relationship, even disregarding the incest. Cersei manipulated Jaime their entire lives because she's selfish and it almost seemed like show Jaime was beginning to realise it.
I'm also disppointed that Eurion's goal was just to fuck Cersei. He had no other plans for power, no schemes, he really was exactly as he appeared on the surface.
