It would have made so much more sense to not have Dany and Drogon there. Just have it be Rhaegal hunting for food. it explains how the drogons sustain themselves. The bolt took him after executing that turn from what was seemingly a fucking mile off while on a boat, that was presumably rocking on the water of an inlet while that fleet was behind a fucking cliff. And they not only hit this moving target once, they hit this moving target three times in a fucking row correcting for wind speed, projectile drop, leading the dragon just enough to hit it while it was at full speed, readjusting for it's new speed and trajectory after the first shot landed, and then again readjusting for the third to take him in the neck. These were three one-in-a-million shots in a fucking row. There is no logical way to defend this shit.

To be fair, the Dotharki teleported in front of the unsullied while the dragon was already attacking. They just couldn't respond to it quickly enough while keeping wwatch at Drogon.

There is no skill involved in that dodge it was all luck that when she exposed a larger target area that she didnt get hit and they just skimmed by
