Nothing from my country Norway would translate well to a foreign audience maybe except some of the dreary dark crime shows.

I'd rather recommend some UK crime if you like to be comfy as fuck. Poirot, Miss Marple, Midsommer Murders and even Father Brown are really relaxing to watch.

it's not from my own country, but Il Miracolo (The Miracle) aired here a while back and I thought it was absolutely great. It's a mystery/drama about the discovery of a statue of the Virgin Mary that weeps blood, and how it affects those who know about it. It's often compared to The Young Pope; highly recommended.

Currently refreshing my french with Call My Agent. But I'm not sure people not even a little bit familiar with french tv or cinema would know all the people who pop up in cameos, I mean besides Adjani, Bellucci etc.

Finland here. Try to find 2017 "Tuntematon sotilas" miniseries which is essentially a super extended big budge movie cut with production values that can proudly stand alongside hollywood kino. Nothing else worth mentioning.

I've had this on my to-watch list for a while now but I'm not really sure what kind of a show it is. Am I right in thinking it's a mystery with horror/fantasy elements? Anything you could compare it to?

It plays out like other scandinavian mystery/crime shows, but centered around supernatural habbenings in a swedish town. The supernatural being certain forest things, not like ghosts or aliens or anything. No horror at any point.
It's also one narrative thread, not a monster of the week-type show.

I definitely recommend Pustina/The Wasteland 2016. It is HBO europe production and one of the few czech series I really enjoyed.
It should be availible through HBO GO.
